One — Today marks one-thousand days since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops poured into the country on February 24th, 2022 in a massive escalation of a conflict that started in 2014.
Two —- Two bills have been passed by lawmakers that would restrict firearms at polling locations while the polls are open. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says she is grateful to see legislation limiting firearms in voting locations head to the governor’s desk. She says the bills bring Michigan in line with Texas, Georgia, Vermont, and other states with similar restrictions.
And number three — Pennsylvania’s race for the U.S. Senate may be coming to an end. Incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey and Republican David McCormick have been locked in a tight race, with McCormick holding a thin edge. Pennsylvania’s state Supreme Court ruled today that counties must stop counting mail-in ballots that don’t have a correct handwritten date on the return envelope.
