The Senate Republicans are set to choose their next majority leader today in a secret vote. The contenders? Senators Rick Scott (Florida), John Thune (South Dakota), and John Cornyn (Texas).

Scott is clearly the MAGA choice on social media with many of them posting “You work for us” on X, encouraging the senators to vote for Scott.

Scott has also racked up many endorsements including from Tucker Carlson, Charlie Kirk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Representative Byron Donalds, and RFK Jr. as well as Senators Bill Hagerty (TN), Mike Lee (UT), Randy Paul (KY), Ron Johnson (Wisconsin), Tommy Tuberville (AL) and Marco Rubio (FL). He’s also got the nod from Elon Musk.

The website “Gateway Pundit” also endorses Scott and says, “He has also pledged full support for the Trump agenda and will implement recess appointments to make it easier to drain the DC Swamp while also ensuring no one sabotages Trump from the inside.”

According to many conservative media outlets, senators are feeling “bullied” by the American PEOPLE who are telling them who they want to be the senate leader. Too bad so sad for them. I think they forget they represent US – it’s not the other way around.

Trump has yet to weigh in on who he wants to lead the senate – at least not as the posting of this article. That’s probably because he doesn’t want to look feckless if the senate RINOS pick Thune or Cornyn. This is what Trump HAS said about the contest:

I can’t imagine Trump would want Thune in the driver’s seat though considering his “loyalty” test and the fact that Thune certainly couldn’t pass THAT due to this:

One person who is strongly against Scott (but has no alternate suggestions) is Dana Loesch – but she’s in the minority.

Bye, bye Mitch McConnell.

One thing’s for sure – if the senators don’t get the memo from the “You work for us” crowd, they might find out firsthand that there’s no hiding from their voters come primary time when they’re up for re- election. But hey, at least we can all agree on one thing: Regardless of who wins the leadership role today, we should rejoice that we are FINALLY rid of 82-year-old Mitch McConnell being at the top of the pile of elephants.

UPDATE: Thune wins vote. Click here for more info.
