For some reason, it seems to be really difficult for elected Democrats to condemn terrorism. They were worried about Muslims after 9/11 more than they were worried about Americans – and they refused to utter the words “radical Islamism.” Those words were a no-no and wouldn’t come out of the mouth of Obama or any other Democrats even after the terrorist attacks on our country.

There are many elected Democrats, who we have learned over the years, who are anti- Israel and/or anti-Semites. So if you put that together with being defensive of Muslims after 9/11, you get people who choose to be allies with Middle Eastern terrorist regimes instead of America.

And now, even after Hamas has massacred innocents, there are still Democrats who continue to be anti-Israel.

United States Congresswoman, Michigan’s Rashida Tlaib, is a glaring example of this. She recently released a statement after the attacks on Israel saying that the path to the future includes Israel lifting the blockade, ending the “occupation” and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the “suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.” Tlaib also has a Palestine flag outside of her office.

Add to that elected Michigan Democratic representatives who, for some reason, don’t want to go on record condemning Hamas. Michigan Republican Representative Bill G. Schuette (R-Midland) recently introduced Resolution 146. The Resolution says it is, “a resolution to condemn the abhorrent violence perpetrated by Hamas in October 2023, call for the release of all hostages held by Hamas, and support Israel’s right to self- defense.”

Seems pretty easy and straight forward, right? But only six Democrats are co-sponsors. Six. Out of 56 Democratic members in the Michigan House. All total, Schuette had 53 co-sponsors, almost a majority, but not enough to force everyone to vote. When Schuette tried to get the bill out of committee to force a roll call vote, the Speaker Pro Tempore, Rep. Laurie (D-Livonia), gaveled it down.

And then, when a voice vote was held, Pohutsky said it didn’t pass. Schuette objected. Then the Democrat Majority Leader, Muslim-American Abraham Aiyash (D- Detroit & Hamtramck), rushed to adjourn the whole deplorable show that the Democrats were putting on. If you watch their antics, it’s truly incredible to see how determined they were not to have a real vote on the issue so that they wouldn’t have to go on record with any opinions on Israel.
