The “No Labels” political party says that they are the “commonsense majority” and call themselves a national movement of commonsense Americans pushing our leaders together to solve our country’s biggest problems.
What they really are is a bunch of never-Trumpers and recent escapees from the Obama-controlled Biden-Harris administration. And just like a large majority of Americans, the No Labels folks don’t want either Trump OR Biden to be the next president for various reasons. Yes, the group is a bunch of non-MAGA Republicans and “conservative” Democrats and they plan to have a “bipartisan nominating convention” in April of 2024 to choose a presidential candidate.
Former Senator Joe Liberman, a part of the No Labels movement and its founding chairman, told Fox News Shannon Bream recently about the upcoming convention, “Think about it. We haven’t seen that ever in recent history.” That’s because everyone knows that a third party can’t win a presidential election in America.

So far, there is no public information on how the No Labels folks will choose their presidential candidate so I’m assuming it’s not really going to be any sort of Democratic process. The leaders of the group will probably pick the candidate – which is most likely to be West Virginia Senator, Democrat Joe Manchin.
Manchin has told media outlets including The Hill that he is “thinking seriously about leaving the Democrat party.” Manchin recently told West Virginia radio host Hoppy Kercheval that the Democratic brand has become “so bad.” He also says the Republican brand has become bad as well. He said about leaving the Democrat party, “I’ve been thinking about that for quite some time. I haven’t made any decisions whatsoever on any of my political direction. I want to make sure that my voice is truly an independent voice…When I do speak, I want to be able to speak honestly about basically the extremes of the Democrat and Republican Party that’s harming our nation.”
What Manchin and the No Labels group DOESN’T understand is that most people don’t want to choose from yet another OLD WHITE MAN running to be president. Manchin is currently 76-years- old. Enough already.
Critics of the No Labels group have differing opinions on how a third party would effect an election and whether it would help or hinder (expected) presidential nominees Biden and Trump.
No Labels leader Nancy Jacobson, who previously was a major fundraiser for the Clintons, says the group is not a spoiler for the presidential race. She told NBC News, “We will not spoil for either side. The only reason to do this is to win.”
The group also won’t discuss their donors – but seeing who those donors are would definitely tell us us all a lot about the group’s real goals and plans and what they stand for.
