If you had any doubts about a two-tiered justice system, you need not wonder anymore.

The DOJ announced on Tuesday that Hunter Biden would only be charged with two misdemeanors for dodging taxes on more than $3 million of unreported income back in 2017 and 2018, plus a felony gun charge that will be expunged if he can stay out of trouble for a few weeks.

Compare that to the raid on Mar-a-Lago and the 37-count indictment filed against former President Donald Trump last week.

Or maybe this is an easier comparison—how does it stack up to how the little people are treated by federal laws and federal prosecutors under similar circumstances?

Well, you could ask rapper Kodak Black, a black man, 22 years old, who got chucked into prison for three years for the same gun charge as Hunter Biden—which was being in possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. I actually think there are a couple of charges there because Hunter also admits that he lied on the federal form to obtain the illegal gun in the first place.

Kodak Black’s attorney was among those screaming about the unbelievable sweetheart deal Hunter got from the DOJ. That makes sense considering his client was locked up for more than three years, and Hunter, it appears, will not serve one single day in jail but instead get a pretrial diversion. Meaning he will have to go pick up trash at the park or serve meals in the homeless shelter to prove how sorry he is for committing these crimes.

And Hunter will serve no jail time for tax evasion in consecutive tax years—you know, showing a pattern of illegal behavior. There is no answer for that. In 2017 and 2018, it appears he did not pay taxes on more than $1.5 million dollars.

The deal appears to violate the so-called Ashcroft memo that requires the DOJ to charge the highest provable offense and, more importantly, to “seek consistent sentences brought by DOJ.” That means these charges and the subsequent plea deal is an absolute joke and a slap in the face to ordinary Americans like Kodak Black.

This gives me almost no faith in the investigation of the bribes and money laundering allegations against both Hunter and the President—but those investigations are still going on.

So what are people saying? Well, on the left, morons and hacks like Joe Scarborough and company at MSNBC are crowing that Hunter got a fair deal, and Republicans are just whiners and complainers when it comes to this sort of thing. On the other side, anger and resentment because what we are witnessing is not acceptable.

It’s a damned good thing that Hunter is not a Trump-supporting Grandma with cancer who walked into the Capitol to snap a couple of pictures. That 69-year-old woman—and drug counselor—was convicted of a trespassing misdemeanor for being around on January 6 and got four months in prison.

Nope—there is certainly not a two-tiered justice system in America—it’s just paranoid people screaming about conspiracy theories—and they should be locked up too.

But no matter what some greaseball attorney has to say about a filthy client like Hunter—we do know better, and so do some others.
Miranda Divine, Kevin McCarthy, and Catherine Herridge—among others—are calling this thing what it is. There aren’t many like them left.

I can’t help but wonder if this is the beginning of a great change in America. In the Roman Republic, many mark the political assassination of the Gracchi brothers as the beginning of a period of political violence, abuse, and corruption that ultimately led to the Republic becoming the Empire.

Though this is obviously not as drastic, it is similar in that it dispelled illusions about the fairness and the justness of the Roman political system.

The left never cared about justice in this country, but now they feel like they don’t even have to pretend.
