Useless Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is at it again. Instead of solving transportation problems (ports, railroads, air traffic, etc.), he’s still stuck on doing the two things Biden hired him for – lamenting about climate change and racism.

Buttigieg is back in the news whining about how roads are racist again. Buttigieg (who didn’t have any black people in his Mayoral administration in South Bend, Indiana) sat down and talked to MSNBC host Al Sharpton about the racist road crisis recently.

And what are the racist roads doing? Pete says they are causing a lot of crashes. He told Sharpton, “It’s something that deserves more attention, which is why I’m working to bring more attention to it. We have a crisis when it comes to roadway fatalities in America. We lose about 40,000 people every year. It’s a level that is comparable to gun violence. And we see a lot of racial disparities. Black and Brown Americans, tribal citizens and rural restaurants are much more likely to lose their lives whether it’s in a car or as a pedestrian being hit by a car.”

He goes on to say, “There are a lot of reasons related to discrimination and related to even the ways that roads are designed and built, who has access to a safe street design that has crosswalks and good lighting, who doesn’t have that access that can drive disparities, and we have a responsibility to act on that.”

What’s absolutely hysterical (in a sad way) is that Pete doesn’t care about the fact that in a few years, when the Democrats have forced everyone into electric vehicles (EVs) and our Social Security money has ran out, his Black and Brown friends (and most of the rest of us) won’t even be able to afford a car. So crashes won’t be a problem.

EVs are about the most racist things on the planet. The average cost of a new EV is about $61K. I think the cheapest one is around $25K or $30K. That’s nuts. Then there’s the cost of converting your garage to be able to charge your vehicle – and the monthly increase in electricity which is estimated to be at least $56 a month (and we all know that will go up). Then there’s the money you’ll be shelling out for the pay-per-use public chargers. EVs are also more expensive to repair and insure.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

And then…wait for it…when the government doesn’t get enough taxes from you because you’re not buying gas anymore, they’ll be charging you a per-mile tax based on how much you drive. We all know that is coming.

So how are all the Black and Brown people supposed to come up with $60K and all the other costs associated with EVs? Or is there some kind of EV reparations plan in the works??
