Bill Maher said something witty and accurate recently, as Maher tends to do. Looking at Dem prospects in 2024, he said Trump could win on Drag Queen Story Hour alone.

But maybe not, because there are those out there, a significant number, fair or not, who would vote for Jeffrey Dahmer before they’d vote for Trump. Keeping in mind WFB’s counsel to support the most electable conservative, if we can call Trump a conservative rather than a populist, how does the GOP maximize its advantage in cultural politics with a winning candidate?

Well, one way would be for California Dem Governor Gavin Newsom to end up the 2024 nominee of his party. Just think of it, especially against a Republican nominee like Ron DeSantis.

Here’s a recent Newsom mantra, “So, let’s talk about what’s going on in America. Freedom is under attack in your state. Republican leaders, they’re banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors. I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight or join us in California, where still believe in freedom, freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love.”

Wow. Who’s banning books and restricting speech in classrooms under the PC banner? Not Republicans. And the nerve to propose people leave a thriving state like Florida and move to a failing benighted Third World merdeshow, literally a merdeshow, like California? Just wow. The man lies with no shame.

Here’s a nice response by Tucker Carlson, “Californians now pay more income tax than any other state, and yet there’s more poverty in California than any other state. California leads the nation in homelessness. They are everywhere. Check an overpass in L.A. County. People living under it. American citizens. In the last two years, murders in L.A. went up by 35%. Already in the first half of this year, homicides in Los Angeles have set a 15-year record.” Spot on. Imagine trying to run on that record? Exactly.

California and Newsom are exemplars of most that is wrong in America. If it’s loony, authoritarian socialist, or let them eat cake at the French Laundry Democrat, it started in California. The human waste that fills the city streets and the used syringes discarded by miscreants, riff raff so prevalent they control the vast urban wastelands of the state, are physical reminders of the price of Democrat control, as is the war zone of Chicago.

But that’s par for the course for Dems, thus Newsom is talking about challenging Biden in the 2024 Dem primaries. Any Republican should welcome him and do all they can to promote a Newsom candidacy. The resulting Dem wipeout in a general against Ron DeSantis would be enough to clip Dem wings for some time and may even portend a glimmer of hope for the rotting desiccated husk of a state that is California.
