Friday, May 13, 2022. The last day that Jen Psaki, otherwise known as “Peppermint Patty” to her critics, will be the White House Press Secretary. She will give her final press briefing on Friday and I doubt she will be missed by anyone reading this article.

Good-bye and good riddance, Jen.

She’ll be moving on to the perfect place for her (MSNBC) where she can continue to tell more lies with impunity and do media spin for The White House.

No longer are we forced to listen to the lies that come out of her mouth every day.

No longer do we have to hear her elitist disparagement of republicans, Trump, his supporters and the American people in general.

And no longer do we have to put up with her hypocrisy.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

Psaki has been encouraging the protests of Supreme Court Justices at their homes even though it’s against federal law and yet she still had the nerve to complain about threats she has received including texts with her personal address.

Laughably, the Poynter Institute is calling Psaki “one of the best press secretaries ever,” someone who restored honor, dignity and class to the White House after four years of Trump’s people.

If you’re wondering who the Pointer Institute is, they call themselves a “resource” for anyone who aspirers to engage and inform citizens, helping journalists to sharpen their skills, specializing in fact-checking and newsroom diversity.

They are also in charge of PolitiFact. Enough said.

Psaki, for the most part, hasn’t had to answer tough questions or put up with the disdain and harassment that Trump’s press secretaries did. The only one who has really asked her any hard questions has been Fox News’ Peter Doocy.

When Doocy learned of her coming departure, he said, “sorry to see you go.”

“Are you?” She asked in her usual snarky tone.

Taking Psaki’s place will be Karine Jean-Pierre who earned her press secretary spot by being a gay black female, as so many others do in the Biden administration.

Psaki’s first tweets about her replacement pointed this out by saying, “She will be the first black woman and the first openly LGBTQ+ person to serve as the White House Press Secretary.”

That’s important, you know. Diversity, most times, is the only thing you need as a qualification on your resumé to be a part of the Biden administration since it always seems to be more important than anything else.

Jean-Pierre DOES have other credentials that make her useful to The White House however. She was Kamala’s Chief of Staff during the 2020 presidential campaign and she was senior advisor and a national spokeswoman for MoveOn.org.

She was also part of the Obama team, serving many different positions during his campaigns and during his presidency.

I am hoping, at the very least, that the phrase “circle back” is going to leave the room with Psaki for good.
