Sorry dear Gretch, but I don’t buy the BS that you are spewing about giving a crap about businesses in Michigan. Your actions during the pandemic paint a completely different picture.

Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer did her best to destroy businesses in her state during the pandemic while she vied to be Biden’s VP (she was the wrong color).

She decided who was essential and who wasn’t.

She locked down the state as long as she could and when the Michigan Supreme Court told her she didn’t have the authority to do so anymore, she directed the Health Department to do it.

She closed small hardware stores but let Home Depot and other big stores stay open.

She closed down small businesses (many permanently) during her tyrannical pandemic reign. About 6,000 restaurants in all.

In fact, Livingston County in Michigan (part of the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn area) led all counties in the country with a 5.1% decline in the number of active local businesses during the pandemic according to 24/7 Wall Street. 

Way to help the minorities, democrats!

The report, which tracked business activity from the third quarter of 2019 to the third quarter of 2021, said that among the 25 counties that lost the most business activity during the pandemic, eight are in Michigan.

People lost their jobs. Businesses lost employees. Streets were empty. Businesses had “closed” signs on their doors. Many still do.

Add to that the fact that Whitmer vengefully went after business owners to make examples of them with the help of her Attorney General Dana Nessel. 

They went after Owosso barber Karl Manke, Holland restaurant owner Marlena Pavlos-Hackney, the Friske Farm Market and many others – those who dared to speak up against the all-powerful democratic oligarchy in Michigan. 

For the crime of trying to save their businesses and feed their families, business owners were threatened and jailed.

What did all of this result in? The state of Michigan is currently 11th from the bottom in the country’s list of economic recoveries according to Michigan Capitol Confidential.

But like a good democrat who lies all the time, Gongwer News reported that Whitmer said at the end of March, “We’re having the best economic recovery in our state’s history since the pandemic began.”

She says we’re on the right track.

What she means is that SHE is on the right track to paint a false picture of the state because she is up for re-election in November.

Her campaign website laughingly says, “Small businesses are the lifeblood of communities and Gov. Whitmer is committed to getting the support they need to stay afloat to help rebuild our economy.”

No one believes that Whitmer is committed to our small businesses.

Whitmer has been a failure. Worse than a failure. She has made the state much worse than when she became governor.

Unfortunately for her, no one in the state are going to forget anytime soon what she put us through – and our small businesses.

But fortunately for her, there are plenty of job openings around the state for her to choose from when she gets fired in November.
