No matter which way you look at it, Donald Trump was a President of the People. From day one, he always made it a point to put the people ahead of everything. It didn’t matter to him if the media didn’t like him or if the Democrats fought back, it was always about doing what was right for the country. And it seems the American people understood that as U.S. satisfaction was higher under Trump than former Presidents Bush and Obama.

In a new survey conducted by Gallup Polls, surveyors found that majority of Americans were happier under the Republicans than the Democrats. One surveyor said, “The average satisfaction rating during Trump’s term in office — from February 2017 through January of this year — is 30%. That is below the average satisfaction reading of 36% since Gallup began asking the question in 1979. And, as noted, the 11% reading in the final days of Trump’s administration goes on record as one of the lowest in Gallup’s trend.”

The dip toward the end of Trump’s tenure as President was due to the constant attacks from the Democrats and the stalled economy from COVID-19. But the interesting aspect about the poll comes when you compare them to other Presidents. The poll found, “Average satisfaction during Trump’s overall term turns out to be at least marginally higher than the averages for each of Obama’s two terms (23% and 26%, respectively) and George W. Bush’s second term (28%).”

So not only did President Trump beat Obama and Bush when it came to overall satisfaction, but it appears that Bush also beat Obama as well. This means that Americans overall liked having a Republican in office rather than a Democrat.

But what about the current sitting President. Sleepy Joe Biden. The poll also ran the numbers against him in his first week as POTUS. Again, the poll found that people weren’t happy with the current President and actually the satisfaction in the United States was not only at a 10-year low but also projected to set the lowest number ever recorded by Gallup.

While Trump proved that polls can be wrong, Gallup’s poll takes a measure of the heartbeat of America. This is how the people feel about the direction the country is headed. And according to the numbers, it doesn’t look good.
