A royal expert is speaking out this week to say that she believes Prince William and Prince Harry will never heal their rift unless they leave their respective wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
Daily Mail reported that Ingrid Seward, who is the editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, lamented the fact that she now believes that the brothers may never heal their relationship after Harry and his wife Meghan stepped down as senior royals and left the United Kingdom to move to California earlier this year.
“I rather doubt that they will ever get back to how they used to be. I really don’t think so. I think that’s probably a broken relationship,” Seward said. “I think perhaps if something happened to Catherine or Meghan, the boys would be together again. But as long as their ladies are there and their families are there…”

“If there was an awful tragedy it would bring them together, but otherwise I don’t think that relationship will be mended,” she added. “But that is a really personal point of view and I might not be right.”
This comes after royal biographer Robert Lacey, who delved into the brothers’ rift with his book “Battle Of The Brothers,” said that making Harry part of the royal institution again will be William’s biggest test when he becomes king.
“The challenge for William is whether while being true to his principles he can also modernize the institution by making his brother part of it,” he said. “That’s what everyone wants, some kind of reconciliation.”
However, Lacey also added that William has adopted a similar attitude towards Harry and Meghan to that of the brothers’ grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
“At the end of the day we saw a ruthlessness from the Queen over her absolute refusal to allow the Sussexes to use the word royal for their new branding, and we’re seeing the same ruthlessness in William,” Lacey said.
That being said, the royal biographer went on to say that there is “no chance” of Harry and Meghan ever returning to the United Kingdom full time, or even of them “leaving their American base.”
Lacey concluded by warning that William and Harry have “five months to heal their rift” or their relationship will never recover.
