The Girl Scouts of America deleted a post on their Twitter and Facebook pages Wednesday congratulating Amy Coney Barrett on her appointment to the Supreme Court. Barrett is a conservative. Can’t have that. Apparently, the Girl Scouts have an ideological litmus test.
The Girl Scouts congratulated Amy Coney Barrett, and the comments weren’t having it. @girlscouts deleted the tweet, so here it is: pic.twitter.com/2k3Mh7HHIv

The group claims to be nonpartisan. They commented, “Girl Scouts of the USA is a nonpolitical, nonpartisan organization. We are neither red nor blue, but Girl Scout GREEN. We are here to lift up girls and women.” But previously they had tweeted this while Hillary was getting ready to run for president.
Why is it so important to have female political #leadership in the United States? @HillaryClinton explains: http://t.co/YjQoUgbOF3

Yeah, nonpartisan. Uh huh.
Not to mention the tweet about Barrett that they removed mentions female Supreme Court justices nominated by both parties. According to the Girl Scouts, “the organization has a legacy of highlighting women who have risen to the top of their fields including leaders of both political parties and our judicial branch…For over 100 years we have worked and we will continue to work for equality and to break down barriers for girls everywhere and support increasing the presence of women across all levels of government.” So what in the removed tweet doesn’t do that? Top of their fields? Both political parties? Judicial branch? Women at all levels of government? How do any of those things exclude Justice Amy Coney Barrett?
They don’t. Left wing harpies made sure the kudos to Barrett was removed because she is a conservative. The usual suspects cheered them on.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Democrat of Massachusetts, tweeted, “What kind of patch does one earn for uplifting a woman who is the antithesis of justice?”

Another gorgon wrote, “I already felt uneasy as a trans person in this organization, but now I really understand that with this message that Girl Scouts really does not support me or my trans/LGBTQ siblings.” Both trans and LGBTQ siblings? Those must be very interesting parents.
Noah Michelson, editorial director of HuffPost Personal, said in a Facebook post there was “no requirement that we celebrate someone as a hero to women simply because she identifies as a woman, especially when the thing she did was actually done for her by a gang of disgraceful goons and when she is poised to destroy the lives of so many people.” Notice how Noah uses “we” when talking about the Girl Scouts? Was Noah a Girl Scout? Does he want to be? Maybe he just identifies as a Girl Scout at home, at night, in front of a mirror…ahem…cough.
Some women praised the Barrett tweet, “Girl Scouts, thank you for celebrating ALL women and showing us there is a place at the table for those with ALL different sorts of values. Practicing what you’re preaching, right here. It’s very nice to see.” Welllll, not quite.
Another woman wrote, “I’m glad to see the organization support all women both liberal and conservative!” Ummmm, not so much.
So the Girl Scouts have been reduced to just another left wing pressure group. No problem. I don’t like cookies anyway.
