Given the previous Toobin story, this must be some internal Democrat Perv Pride Day. Oh, I forgot! That’s every day. But this story, about coercive making out, does define today’s media trend for the Democrats.
Now normally this analyst, as I did in the Toobin article, would let my juvenile sense of humor run wild with bad puns and double entendres. But the quotes alone in this piece about leftist provocateur Yashar Ali, brought to us by various news sources, are enough to slake my thirst for sophomoric humor.
FNC: “Yashar Ali, a prominent journalist, posted an article late Monday claiming that one of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s top advisers ‘forcibly kissed’ him over the span of a decade and cited sources that described the mayor as an ambitious politician willing to overlook these alleged encounters. Ali titled his article on Substack, ‘Exclusive: Mayor of Los Angeles Repeatedly Witnessed Top Adviser’s Alleged Sexual Misconduct.’ He wrote that from 2005 through 2015, Rick Jacobs, the adviser, would forcibly kiss him on the lips at various events. Ali said he used to work in politics and considered Jacobs a friend at the time. He said that these incidents would happen in front of others.”
1. Exclusive: Sources tell me that LA Mayor @ericgarcetti witnessed his top advisor Rick Jacobs sexually harass and assault people over the past six years. And not only did the Mayor not do anything to stop it, he's kept Jacobs in his position. https://t.co/icvQYPOmzl

Ali said, “Jacobs would grab my face and kiss me on the lips — always twice — and he would turn to other people who witnessed it and say, ‘He has the softest lips.’ ” No, I did not make that up.
Matthew Garza, a 23-year-veteran of the mayor’s police detail, also said in a lawsuit that Jacobs would embrace him without consent and make remarks like: “you’re so strong and handsome,” “your muscles are so tight” and “I love me my strong LAPD officers.” Didn’t make that up either. Though, I would have.
Garza’s suit claimed Jacob’s behavior was “silently condoned by the Mayor and City of Los Angeles, spanned several years,” and Garcetti “took no action to stop the comments from being made or even identify the comments as being inappropriate.”
“The Mayor has zero tolerance for sexual harassment and unequivocally did not witness the behavior that Officer Garza alleges,” the mayor’s office told the press. The L.A. Times reported that the mayor has “publicly stood by” Jacobs and said he was a “committed public servant” a month after Garza’s lawsuit.
Ali said he referenced more than a dozen sources in three months for this report. None would speak for attribution. Ali tweeted that sources told him that Garcetti saw Jacobs “sexually harass and assault people over the past six years. And not only did the Mayor not do anything to stop it, he’s kept Jacobs in his position.” Ah yes, a normal day or two in the Democrat Party. But Brett Kavanaugh, boy, what a harrasser!
