Bob Barker hosted “The Price Is Right” for decades before he retired in 2007. Now, his thoughts on his replacement Drew Carey have been revealed.
“He likes Drew Carey and enjoyed the show,” a friend of Barker’s told Closer Weekly. “He’s a fan.”
Barker’s friend went on to say that the former host has “no regrets” about his time working in television.

“We didn’t solve the world’s problems,” Barker once said. “But we hopefully helped you to forget your problems for just a while.”
These days, the 96 year-old reportedly rarely strays far from his home in the Hollywood Hills, where he has a full-time caretaker. Barker has suffered from various health problems in recent years, suffering from two strokes and several bad falls.
Despite his health issues, Barker still visits the grave of his beloved wife, Dorothy Jo Gideon. They met at an Ella Fitzgerald concert when they were each 15, and they eloped in 1945. They were married for 36 years before Gideon tragically died of lung cancer in 1981 at the age of 57, and Barker has never remarried.
“Bob never got over Dorothy Jo’s death from lung cancer,” a source told Radar Online. “They were married 36 years and she was the love of his life. He never remarried. He and Dorothy Jo were together since age 15 and he told me, ‘I just felt there should only ever be one Mrs. Bob Barker.'”

“We were a team,” he once said of his late wife. “I couldn’t have done what I did if it weren’t for her.”
“She was ahead of her time. She stopped wearing fur coats before anyone. She became a vegetarian … and gradually I did the same thing,” Barker added.
After his wife’s death, Barker launched the DJ&T Foundation, named after Gideon and his mother, Tillie. The charity aims to provide low-cost spay and neutering services and to fight animal mistreatment.
“Bob is a trailblazer in his devotion to the well-being of animals,” his friend said.
Barker and Gideon never had children, and the host reportedly plans to leave the bulk of his fortune to the foundation.
Despite his advanced age, Barker feels that he has a lot to look forward to in the future.
“He’s not afraid,” a source close to him said. “I think he can’t wait for the day that he and Dorothy Jo are reunited.”
