I was raised in California and I can’t figure out for the life of me why anyone would want to live there today, especially in Los Angeles.
I guess if you wanted to feel what it’s like to live in Venezuela it would be fun, other than that, I can’t see a benefit.
Things are especially bad right now, as record heatwaves, raging wildfires, and tyrannical COVID lockdowns have a stranglehold over the state.

So, this probably was not the best time for Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti to tweet out an “order” for citizens to bump up their thermostat to a whopping 78 degrees – he suggested citizens use a fan (gee, how nice of him) – and for everyone to run around and unplug appliances. He ended his tweet with the hashtag #FlexAlert to show how serious he was.
Here’s what he said: “It’s almost 3 p.m. Time to turn off major appliances, set the thermostat to 78 degrees (or use a fan instead), turn off excess lights and unplug any appliances you’re not using. We need every Californian to help conserve energy. Please do your part. #FlexAlert”

It didn’t take long for Mayor Garcetti to get lambasted online.
Here is a sampling of some of the top scathing comments:
“I had my thermostat at 65 degrees today, with the windows open & every light on. At least 40 people were at my house getting shit faced @MayorOfLA
with no mask on.”
“So your citizens can’t keep power on, yet you welcome illegals and offer free health care & college…yep, makes total sense!!! #DemocratsAreDestroyingAmerica”
“No, dipwhistle, you need every Californian to throw you and your corrupt ilk out of office and to build a few nuke plants and generate real power. God you people are despicable.”
“I’m in AZ massive heat advisory pretty much all summer. Not once has my power gone out or asked to turn my appliances off…if az can do it ca can”
“I really feel sorry for the folks stuck in a blue state. My red state has been open since May 1st and we are living a normal life. No riots, no lockdowns, no masks, no brainwashing, businesses are open. You folks need to vote the Dems out.”
“Do Californians know that the rest of the country doesn’t have this problem? We can use energy to our heart’s content.”
“I have mine on 65. Appliances all going. Tv blasting. Cry more lib.”
“Damn. I thought this was a parody tweet at first. No wonder ppl are leaving CA in droves. Yikes.”
“Our power has been out since 4pm …ETA to restore is 24-36 hours. I’ve lived in this suburb of Los Angeles my entire life. It’s like living in a 3rd world now”
“Nothing says “I’m a failed Mayor” quite like this tweet.”

“The weather isn’t the only hot air in CA..need to get rid of democrats at all levels..”
“Can’t wait for the next person to tell me how California is the standard by which all other states should emulate.”
Well, you get what you vote for, boys and girls…and California voters voted for this.
They wanted to rely on “renewables” and get rid of nuclear power and this is the result of that.
And to think there are some people out there that want to turn the entire country into “California.”
Everything the Democrats touch dies.
