The State of Michigan admitted once again this weekend what many of us already understand; there is a great deal of reckless reporting and unreliable numbers flying around when it comes to counting those who have Covid-19 and those who have died from it.
Michigan admitted that it recently found at least 16 people counted among the Covid dead that are actually still alive. That begs a whole series of questions. Then during reporting disruptions all weekend that state admitted that a quote unquote surge of more than 1,000 new cases was not accurate either. On Michigan.gov it explained that many of those cases should have been reported earlier.
The day before Michigan reported 14 deaths with an asterisk again because at least 8 of those came sometime in the past.

Finally on Sunday, for the second time in less than 2-weeks, Michigan admitted that it recorded ZERO new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours.
This comes at the same time the recent increase in cases in Texas, Florida and Arizona have apparently plateaued and are on the way down. To date both Texas and Florida have less deaths than Michigan even though both states are two and three times larger in population.
The takeaway here- is keep asking questions and question the numbers before you trust anything about any of the data some are taking as gospel.
