I’m just a middle-aged woman in the midwest, a writer, a graphic designer, pet advocate, high school and college football fan, a normal person with a cat, a dog and a husband of 21 years.
I’m no attorney or scholar of the constitution but I can read.
So I can clearly see that the constitution doesn’t allow the government to force me to buy health insurance – or any other product.

Or to wear masks. But I digress…
When Chief Justice John Roberts found a way to make Obamacare constitutional, I realized that he was a crackpot.
We shouldn’t be too surprised though. He was nominated by George W. Bush who was no great conservative president.
Roberts has made many bad decisions since then that go against the constitution and the Bill of Rights. He’s gone so far off the constitutional reservation that some have even suggested that the democrats have something on him i.e. they are threatening to expose something about his personal life if he doesn’t vote their way on certain things.
Others have speculated that Roberts wants to leave a positive “legacy” and that liberals are the ones who will write that legacy because they have the control of the media. So Roberts capitulates to the liberals.
Roberts voted with the liberals against requiring abortion providers in Louisiana to be affiliated with a hospital for the health of women undergoing the procedure.
He sided with the liberals in not allowing Trump to terminate the DACA program which was an illegal Obama executive order to begin with.
There have been other decisions that have made conservatives question his judicial competency.
Roberts’s latest idiocy is not protecting our religious freedoms, one of the main reasons we fought the British for our independence. He has sided with casinos and gambling, but not religious freedoms.
When I searched through the constitution for the word “gambling,” no results were found. Our right to gamble is not specifically mentioned in the constitution.
Maybe it’s time for Roberts to be mailed a copy of the constitution.
On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected a request from a church in Nevada to block enforcement of state restrictions on attendance at a religious service. The vote was 5 to 4. Chief Justice Roberts, of course, joined the liberals to form a majority.
Casinos are limited to 50% capacity in Nevada. Churches are limited to 50 people. People. The fact that they are limited to anything in any way is unconstitutional.
This isn’t the first Roberts hasn’t given a crap about the first amendment.
In May, there was a case in California that ended in a vote of 5-4 with Roberts joining with the liberals again to support administration fiats that restricted our right to religious freedom because restricting the churches was no more restrictive than other gatherings.
Roberts himself is ludicrous when you read what he wrote. He said, “Although California’s guidelines place restrictions on places of worship…”
Hello???? Earth to Roberts…
There can be no restrictions on places of worship. So he is admitting that they made restrictions and he did nothing to stop it.
When a “conservative” judge goes against the very reason the country was founded and he does not protect our religious freedoms, there is definitely a problem with that judge. And it can’t be ignored.
Justice Samuel Alito Jr. wrote a dissent in the Nevada case, “It (constitution) says nothing about the freedom to play craps or blackjack, to feed tokens into a slot machine or to engage in any other game of chance. But the governor of Nevada apparently has different priorities.”
Kavanaugh agreed that Nevada was discriminating against religion when they let more people go to restaurants, drink at bars, bike at gyms and gamble at casinos than go to church.
And the more important writing of Alito really says it all for the whole country as it relates to these out-of-control governors giving us edicts that go against the constitution.
Justice Alito wrote, “A public health emergency does not give governors and other public officials carte blanche to disregard the Constitution for as long as the medical problem persists.”
Ted Cruz has also taken notice of Robert’s behavior. Cruz said on the Senate floor, ““Over recent years, more and more, Chief Justice Roberts has been playing games with the court to achieve the policy outcomes he desires. This is becoming a pattern.”
