25-year-old DNC Vice Chair David Hogg wants to spend $20 million replacing “ineffective” Democrats – translation: anyone over 40 who hasn’t burned the Constitution yet. Hogg’s claim to fame is surviving the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Hogg used the media attention on him after the shooting and his “notoriety” to become a gun control activist. After the shooting, he co-founded “March for Our Lives,” a youth-led movement advocating for stronger gun laws.
Since becoming Vice Chair of the DNC, Hogg has decided that the Democratic Party isn’t extreme enough. Yes, apparently, pushing drag shows into kindergarten and handing out money to Democrat supporters like it’s Monopoly cash just isn’t cutting it. More craziness and more Trump opposition are obviously needed.
According to The Hill, Hogg recently announced a $20 million initiative “aimed at launching primary challenges against House Democrats in safe seats in the hopes of electing a new generation of leaders.” His PAC is called “Leaders We Deserve.”
Hogg calls the Dem incumbents “ineffective” and vows to replace them with new and effective leaders i.e. younger, louder, and far more willing to smash what’s left of the American economy, the Constitution, parental rights, and your sanity.
Hogg’s campaign will be targeting safe blue seats – the places where voters already think Trump is Hitler and pronouns are policy. His goal? To swap out the aging establishment with fresh-faced foot soldiers more aligned with his brand of TikTok socialism.
The irony? Hogg has never held elected office, drafted legislation, or balanced a checkbook, but he’s convinced he can sniff out “ineffective” leadership.
Let’s not forget, this is the same guy who built his brand on yelling at Republicans for supporting the Second Amendment — and now he wants to aim that same fiery rhetoric at Democrats who dare to be anywhere close to moderately progressive and sane.
His political targets? Anyone who hasn’t posted a selfie with a “Defund the Police” or “Abolish ICE” sign. If you’re a Democrat who believes in common sense like borders or balanced budgets, you had better start packing. But, really, are there many such Dems left anymore?
Longtime Democratic political strategist and commentator James Carville thinks Hogg is insane and called him a “contemptible little twerp,” suggesting to the youngster, “Why don’t you take on a Republican? That‘s your job.”
