If you’ve been holding your breath and wearing out your refresh button waiting for the Epstein files to burst open like an overripe piñata, the wait may continue for an undisclosed amount of time, much to the chagrin of folks across the planet.
We’re talking about the infamous Jeffrey Epstein FBI files that may or may not contain a “client list” depending on who you ask.
Files on Epstein were supposed to be released by AG Pam Bondi back at the end of February, and some were handed out during what the DOJ has called called the “first phase” – but nothing of any substance was revealed.
Jeffrey Epstein was a billionaire financier and socialite who somehow managed to turn a private island and a black book full of the rich and powerful into a sinister playground for alleged sex trafficking.
Known more for his “connections” than any legitimate business acumen, Epstein was the poster boy for how wealth and influence can shield you from justice – until it couldn’t. He was arrested on federal charges of sex trafficking minors, but before the full list of high-profile acquaintances could be subpoenaed, Epstein conveniently died of a “suicide” in a jail cell when security cameras took a convenient nap.
Come to find out, more Epstein files are floating around than previously thought. Sources say the FBI is sifting through them before the Trump administration moves to release them – after uncovering a stash that had been reportedly buried in the New York FBI office.
Hopefully that doesn’t mean that they’re grabbing a Sharpie and blacking out everything they don’t like – just like the Dems love to do – leaving behind a sea of black rectangles with only stray words like “Jeffrey” or “is” peeking through.
And, of course, the leftist media is up in arms about the whole thing and coming up with stories about how the FBI is ignoring threats to the country from China and Iran in order to go through the Epstein docs.
Will the new files reveal anything – or drop names we’ll recognize from Hollywood, corporate boardrooms, or the halls of Congress?
In the meantime, America waits. Not patiently, but with the resigned irritation of someone stuck behind a slow driver on the highway with no passing lane in sight. Not even the release of the JFK files is keeping folks busy enough not to ask for a new batch of scandals and secrets to feast on and obsess over.
