Stay Home, Grandpa: Bernie and the Blue-State B-Team Take Their Sideshow on the Road

The elected Trump resistance has come up with a new idea. In order to annoy as many people as possible, the Dems have decided to barge into Republican districts, preaching to people who never asked for them to be there.

Progressive folks like Bernie Sanders, the 82-year-old socialist senator, have come up with a plan to try to save America (their corrupt version of it) by showing up at town halls [1] all over the country. This is NOT a grassroots effort imagined by dissatisfied Democrats. No, elected Dems have not been able to gin up the amount of outrage and protest against Trump that they’ve wanted. They continue to have small crowds for “small” people.

Instead, this effort is a coordinated one by the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Association of State Democratic Committees and the state parties.

What’s the plan? Mostly the same old thing – to spew their venom about how Trump (and now Elon Musk) is a danger to democracy and how they have to be stopped. The Dems will be spinning their lies and hope to someday hit upon an issue (like George Floyd) that will mobilize their voters to take to the streets and create chaos and opposition to MAGA. Because who wants America to be great, right? Certainly not Democrats. Do they have any ideas on how to fix anything in the country? Nope. All they have is opposition to Trump and the GOP – which is pretty much all they’ve ever had.

The Dems are hoping that their town halls will create viral social media moments for them to post – like the Republican congressman who just got chewed out in his district at a town hall that went full WWE, complete with profanities flying faster than Bernie waving around another government program.

This is the modern Democrat playbook: pack up the circus, take it on tour, and hope that shouting “democracy!” and “corporate greed!” loud enough will make everyone forget how radical they are. Spoiler: it won’t.

Voters in GOP districts aren’t asking for Bernie’s finger-wagging socialism, or Elizabeth Warren’s PowerPoint slides. They want their reps to handle their concerns: inflation, border security, and crime – not politicians looking to pick fights and gin up the radical left.

Maybe instead of cosplaying as America’s moral compass, Bernie and his friends should actually try to come up with solutions instead of complaints and opposition. But for now, the Democratic roadshow barrels on, rolling into towns like an uninvited HOA meeting nobody RSVP’d to.
