The Great Uniter is a Fraud – and a Disastrous Failure

Joe Biden campaigned as a uniter, promising to heal divisions and govern for all Americans. Yet, his presidency has been a masterclass in how to divide a nation. In his farewell speech [1] last night, Biden doubled down on this legacy, providing a fitting bookend to his four years of empty promises and divisive policies.

Biden’s legacy of division.

Biden’s presidency began with grand declarations about unity: “my whole soul is in this: Bringing America together. Uniting our people. And uniting our nation,” he proclaimed at his 2021 inauguration. Fast forward to today and that promise has aged about as well as gas station sushi.

From day one, Biden unleashed a flurry of progressive executive orders that erased any semblance of moderation and unity. He halted border wall construction, nixed the Keystone XL Pipeline, and rejoined the Paris Agreement – all while claiming to govern for everyone.

His administration weaponized rhetoric to vilify “MAGA Republicans” and treated half the country like second-class citizens – or worse, Nazis and terrorists. Trump and his supporters were branded as extremists, censored, and targeted with legal action. Instead of fostering dialogue, Biden chose to fan the flames of division.

Policies that wrecked America.

“Build Back Better” turned out to mean “Break America Faster” and wreaked havoc on American businesses. Biden’s economic policies exacerbated inflation, kept gas prices sky-high, and gutted industries. Under his administration (and Gov. Whitmer), Michigan’s restaurant sector still hasn’t recovered from pandemic shutdowns, high inflation costs, a shortage or workers and other challenges.

Meanwhile, major retailers like Rite Aid and Bed Bath & Beyond have shuttered stores, some because safety concerns brought on by the progressive and insane “defund the police” and criminal “justice reform” measures Dems implemented and others because of economic pressures linked to Democratic policies.

On foreign policy, Biden has left the U.S. weaker than ever. His hasty Afghanistan withdrawal embarrassed the nation and emboldened adversaries. Domestically, he opened the floodgates at the southern border, creating a humanitarian and security crisis. Biden’s legacy? A nation more vulnerable, MORE divided, and less prosperous. And crime is through the roof just about everywhere.

A grifter’s farewell.

Biden’s farewell speech was a mix of self-congratulation and veiled potshots at the incoming administration. He prattled on about “dangerous concentrations of power” (warning us about Don and Elon and the incoming Trump Cabinet) while ignoring his administration’s blatant abuses.

From censoring dissent to weaponizing federal agencies, Biden has done more to undermine democracy than most of his predecessors combined.

Biden also waxed poetic about “essential workers” who got us through COVID – conveniently forgetting that the federal government (along with Gov. Whitmer) decided WHO and WHAT was “essential.” Liquor stores? Essential. Abortion? Essential. Churches? Not so much. This brand of tyranny was a hallmark of Biden’s presidency, and he doesn’t seem to care about the damage it caused.

A final act of hypocrisy.

In a moment of pure irony, Biden lamented the spread of “misinformation.” Perhaps he forgot his administration’s track record of censorship and “spin” (lies). His press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was a masterclass in gaslighting, trying to make Biden’s most absurd claims seem true.

Biden also took the opportunity during his speech to blame California wildfires on climate change, ignoring the documented failures of Democratic governance in the state. His parting words in his farewell were a predictable mix of finger-pointing and fearmongering. I’m sure he’s hoping that his divisive rhetoric will echo long after he’s gone.

But it probably won’t. He was a sucky president. He’s a sucky outgoing president. And the divisive words written by someone who most likely used to work in the Obama administration will be long forgotten along with much of the gibberish we’ve heard from Biden over the years.

We have a cure for the virus that Biden unleaded on the country. A remedy.
MAGA is coming in. The clean-up crew is on the way. Only four more days, thank God.

Good riddance Joe (and KJP and Harris and Mayorkas and Garland all of the rest of the tyrannical anti-American creeps).

I hope that the door hits you on the way out.
