Clowns Get Crowns: President Biden Gives Jan. 6 Committee Fraud Liz Cheney a Medal

It’s official: the Biden administration has turned the Presidential Citizens Medal into a participation trophy for political theater. In an absurd and disgusting move on his way out of the Oval Office, President Biden (his administration) decided to hand the nation’s second-highest civilian honor to Liz Cheney and Bennie Thompson for their roles in the January 6th investigation.

The “White House” released a statement saying, “President Biden believes these Americans are bonded by their common decency and commitment to serving others. The country is better because of their dedication and sacrifice.”

The medal was created by President Richard Nixon in 1969 to recognize people who “performed exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens.”

Yes, that committee.

The only thing that Cheney did was perform a deed of service for her fellow TDS Trump haters. So this is just a consolation prize for her losing attempt to keep Trump out of the Oval Office for a second term. And a middle finger to Trump and the MAGA crowd – which seems to be all the Dems have cared about since losing the presidential election. Lizzie is a pawn of their Trump hate and she loves being one.

Cheney, a Republican pariah in her own state (and in the end, a Kamala Harris supporter and voter), and Thompson, a Democrat who helped spearhead what critics have called a politically motivated witch hunt, are apparently now the gold standard of heroism.

A Medal for what, exactly?

Let’s review: the January 6th Committee, funded by taxpayers, spent months orchestrating prime-time TV spectacles, churning out a final report claiming Donald Trump was the mastermind of a “multi-part conspiracy.”

So what are the medals for? Ignoring and hiding evidence? Being vindictive and disgusting partisan hacks? Hiring a PR firm to produce videos for their witch hunt? Apparently that is criteria to get a medal from a president as if they had stormed the beaches of Normandy.

Who else got the medals?

Just like giving Barack Obama a Nobel Peace Prize (a true joke), giving these medals to Cheney and Thompson are the same – a farce. Actual heroes who have made actual contributions to Americans and the country like Vietnam veterans and pioneers of medical treatment have gotten the medals in the past – and there were many deserving people who got them yesterday – but Cheney and Thompson weren’t deserving in any shape, form or fashion.

Cheney and Thompson shouldn’t have been included in that group. Lumping January 6th committee members in with the genuine heroes and trailblazers makes the medals a political sideshow.

Trump’s view of Cheney.

Trump has said about Cheney in the past during a NBC “Meet the Press” interview, “Cheney did something that’s inexcusable, along with Thompson and the people on the un-select committee of political thugs and, you know, creeps,” claiming without evidence they “deleted and destroyed” testimony they collected. He added, “Honestly, they should go to jail.”
