In the land of sunshine and surreal legal decisions, a California judge has ruled that Tremaine Carroll, an inmate accused of impregnating one female inmate and raping two others, must be referred to by “she/her” pronouns because dignity, apparently, trumps reality and criminal activity.

According to the Daily Wire, Carroll, who self-identifies as a woman, was placed in a women’s prison under California’s progressive gender policies.

Never mind the pesky lack of psychological or medical evaluations – a simple declaration of what sex you want to be referred to is enough to bypass any common-sense checks. The result? Allegations of sexual violence and a scandal that could make even the most seasoned satirists shake their heads.

District Attorney Sally Moreno, clearly unimpressed by this dystopian circus, has filed rape charges against Carroll after two of his cellmates accused him of sexual assault. Oh, and let’s not forget the first cellmate who was mysteriously transferred out after becoming pregnant. Coincidence? We’ll let you decide.

But here’s the kicker: an insane Madera County judge has now decreed that everyone, including Carroll’s alleged victims, must address him with his chosen pronouns. Yes, you read that right. The judge says that the alleged rapist “deserves dignity.”

The survivors of these alleged crimes are now legally required to affirm the inmate’s chosen identity. Because nothing screams justice like compelling victims to validate their alleged attacker’s self- perception. In this case, though, one might question if the declaration of being a woman was conveniently made to gain access to women. One again, we’ll let you decide.
