Kamala Harris, the working class family’s champion, seems to have found herself in a very relatable situation: drowning in debt. Only instead of cutting off Starbucks or cancelling Hulu like the rest of us, she’s found a more creative route – fundraising under the guise of a “recount” according to Politico.
Apparently, Kamala’s campaign is sitting on a mountain of $20 million in debt and instead of owning up to it, she’s launched a fundraising plea for a recount that doesn’t seem to have any real legs. After all, when you lose as badly as Kamala did, recounting doesn’t exactly change the arithmetic.
Yet still, Kamala is reportedly sending out two or three desperate emails a day to her donors. And what does she intend to do with the money? Flip votes? That’s not exactly Democratic – but then, she didn’t get nominated in a Democratic way either.
However, Kamala’s real goal seems to be clawing her way out of the red, not clawing her way to victory. And this is after she blew through about $1.5 billion dollars. Yikes. Where did all the money go? No one really knows.
$20 million doesn’t grow on trees. At least not anymore. And if Kamala can’t balance a campaign budget, it raises some serious questions about how she would have handled a national one. Of course, we all know the answer to that – which is why she lost so BIGLY.
