Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced the withdrawal of the rule change on Friday. It seems the flood of public comments and pending lawsuits were too much for the administration to stomach.

Let’s not kid ourselves. This whole thing wasn’t about any kind of important educational objectives or fairness. The administration’s vague proposal boiled down to letting biological boys compete against girls under the guise of “gender identity” because it has been their latest “civil rights” cause to fight for although no one is exactly sure why.

The backlash against Biden and the Democrats was predictable. Americans (especially parents) weren’t thrilled with the idea of their daughters losing scholarships or enduring unfair competition on the field.

And then there’s the safety aspect. What about the high school volleyball player who was injured (and almost killed) by the trans player in 2022? You would think something like that would be enough to shut down the Dems’ obsession to let boys and men play with and against girls and women in sports.

Nope. Common sense and Democrats don’t exactly go hand in hand.

However, with over 150,000 public comments on the Title IX issue and legal battles brewing in multiple states, the administration opted to punt the issue downfield – probably seeing the “Trump” handwriting on the wall.

Meanwhile, many states have passed laws ensuring that girls’ sports remain for girls only. And it looks like they’re going to stay that way. At least for now.

The Title IX insanity coming from the Democrats is just another episode in their circus of misplaced priorities. Instead of protecting the integrity of women’s sports (equality), the Biden team decided to advocate for…MEN. Their woke idiocy is part of what lost them the presidential election. Maybe next time, they’ll think twice before attempting to redefine reality. But probably not.
