In a game that flipped the script, the University of Michigan stunned Ohio State with a 13-10 win in Ohio on Saturday. Michigan’s 6-5 squad delivered a blow to Ohio State’s 10-1 record (and number two ranking) – and then twisted the knife with a flag-planting attempt that had Buckeyes seeing red.

The Wolverines, apparently not content with just a scoreboard victory, tried to plant their flag dead center on Ohio State’s turf. Chaos immediately followed that even saw a police officer hit the turf.

Fox announcers scrambled to keep up with the action saying, “Something interesting is going on the field right now. Michigan tried to plant their flag in the middle of the Ohio State field. And the Buckeyes rushed right to them. And now there’s some skirmishes going on right on the field. An unsportsmanlike gesture by the Wolverines. Unnecessary. They won the game. No need to be disrespectful.”

Ohio State backup quarterback Devin Brown took matters – and the flag – into his own hands by grabbing the flag away from a Michigan player. And then more skirmishes broke out.

Michigan running back Kalel Mullings didn’t hold back in his post-game interview in his interview with Fox saying, “You hate to see stuff like that after the game…at the end of the day, some people have to learn how to lose, man. You can’t be fighting this stuff just ‘cause you lost a game, you know, all that fighting…we have 60 minutes, we have four quarters to do all that fighting. And now people want to talk and fight, that’s wrong… classless in my opinion, people gotta be better.”

Looks like some of the players even had to be pepper-sprayed.
