In a scene reminiscent of a blockbuster disaster movie, Hollywood elites have been left reeling and ranting on social media as Trump made his unexpected political comeback. From posts lamenting the “end of democracy” to A-listers declaring their newfound disinterest in America’s future, the meltdown was cinematic and over-the-top dramatic.

“People Are Hurting” – Enter the Van Jones Meltdown

It didn’t take long for CNN commentator Van Jones to go full throttle, declaring that “people are hurting.” Jones’ face was the picture of grief as he ranted about what this meant for Americans’ day- to-day lives. But while Jones was wiping his tears away, social media was aflame with celebrities turning the spotlight right back to themselves, airing every grievance they’ve harbored since 2016.

The “Woke” Star Rants: “Sexism, Racism, and Russia” Oh My!

With the fervor of a horror movie monologue, Jamie Lee Curtis told us a Trump presidency will bring us “a return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time” and that minority groups should be afraid.

Rapper Cardi B said in a video on Instagram, “I hate y’all bad” and when she was asked about appearing at Trump’s inauguration, she ranted, “I’m sick of you! Burn your f-ing hats, motherf*cker.”

Singer Billie Eillish said simply, “It’s a war on women.”

Washed-up actor John Cusack said, “The fact that the country would choose to destroy itself by voting in a convicted felon rapist and Nazi is a sign of deep nihilism.”

Actress Christina Applegate said, “My child is sobbing because her rights as a woman may be taken away.” By the way, it’s child abuse for a mother to gaslight her child into thinking that. Applegate also told her followers to unfollow her if they disagreed with her – and said she’d be shutting down her fan account – but then changed her mind a few hours later, probably on the advice of her agent.

Even God (or at least TheTweetOfGod) weighed in, posting, “It’s not my fault.”

And this:

Trump’s win brings silence too.

Where are Bette Midler, Meryl Streep, Cher, and Robert De Niro? We’re awaiting their rants about the end of democracy under “Hitler” and we are sadly disappointed by their silence. It’s been reported that Bette Midler actually deleted her X account. Good riddance.

Foreigners are also upset.

Across the pond, even author Philip Pullman seemed to bow out, posting, “Goodbye, America. It was nice knowing you.”

“Big League” Theatrics.

So, what does the Great Hollywood Meltdown of 2024 teach us? For starters, it reveals that the Hollywood elite may believe they are the de facto moral compass, here to guide us all through the murky waters of politics – but they don’t. Everyday Americans who live in the real world had the final say in the presidential election after putting the celebrity elite on “mute.”

Crazy is All Over X.

Here is more of the melt down from the left who are calling Trump voters sexists and racists and fascists, talking about Russians again, white supremacy, threatening to disown us and wanting to burn the country down.
