Michigan Secretary of State DEMOCRAT Jocelyn Benson has taken her crusade against election “adversaries” to new levels, now warning Michiganders about the dangers of having their minds hacked.
No, this isn’t science fiction. According to Benson, in an interview [1] with CBS, foreign actors are trying to bypass our supposedly “secure” election systems by directly infiltrating voters’ brains – or at least their social media feeds.
Yes, because Benson’s election system in the state is so so very safe (with things like dead and illegal voters still on the voter rolls and no IDs needed), we can believe her that’s it’s the mind-hacking that we have to watch out for.
Benson told the interviewer on CBS, “We know that our- because our systems are secure, there are foreign bad actors and adversaries to democracy on the global scale who will seek to potentially not hack our systems, but hack voters’ minds, to spread falsehoods and misinformation.”
The Jedi mind tricks of democracy.
Benson’s latest pitch sounds like the plot of a psychological thriller with foreign bad actors lurking in the shadows, ready to twist voters’ minds with misinformation, leaving them questioning the very core of democracy. Forget ballot security or missing IDs or Chinese students casting fraudulent ballots. No, the REAL threat to our voting system (besides Trump) are the “foreign” actors hacking the minds of unsuspecting voters.
And how does Benson recommend fighting this invisible enemy? Look to “trusted” sources of information she advises – meaning, of course, Democrats – and her own election office website.
Benson claims to be a champion of transparency and freedom of information – but she is directing you to a state-sponsored website in a state ran by Democrats. Not surprisingly, she wants you to stay away from doing your own research and getting a different perspective than the Democrat one.
Benson’s anti-hacking playbook: protecting minds, one “trusted source” at a time.
In Benson’s hands, the “trusted source” mantra sounds like a plan to crowdsource truth with Democrat resources at the ready. After all, why sift through opinions and other sources when Michigan.gov has all the “real” facts?
