For some reason (and you can probably guess why), the so-called “conservative” media is spinning VP Kamala Harris’s interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier yesterday as a catastrophe – for her.

Yes, she didn’t answer any of the questions and yes, she did her best to filibuster – but Baier didn’t look good either with his constant interruptions and repeated calls for her to apologize to the families of individuals who were killed thanks to the Harris-Biden administration’s open border policies.

Sure, the question was warranted – and Kamala eventually said she was sorry for them – but Baire’s approach felt more like bullying. Kamala managed to hold her own during the interview and avoid looking completely foolish, which seems to be the main objective for her campaign right now. With 19 days to go, their priority is damage control and not allowing the VP to make any big mistakes.

Kamala also had (like the debate against Trump) carefully rehearsed “looks” that she gave Baire along the way – from disgust to incredulousness to cynicism.

No, the interview wasn’t the “bloodbath” that Townhall says it was. No, the interview wasn’t a “disaster” for her as Breitbart News says.

Did Kamala give us her usual word salads? Not really. She just stuck to her well-rehearsed talking points so she didn’t have to give real answers: Trump is bad. I’m not Trump or Biden. Everything we did has been great and Trump is bad.

The interview was good enough that the Democrats who support her are using the Fox News interview clips on X more than “our” side is – and saying that she dominated the interview and took no “sh*t.”

Was the interview impactful? No. Will it mean anything in the long run? No.

So it was 30 minutes that really meant nothing where both sides can spin the interview in anyway they want – and they are.
