That brand new poll from the New York Times showing former President Donald Trump leading Kamala Harris nationally among likely voters has Democrats back in a full-blown panic.
We are back to the days of Joe Biden—and the race is favoring Donald Trump more every day. Nate Silver now says Trump’s chance of winning in November is 64% and Kamala is trailing at a meager 36%.
And that brings us to the most important night yet of Campaign 2024 because it’s debate night in America! Tonight at the National Constitution Center in Philly, VP Kamala Harris will “debate” President Donald Trump.
And this is likely for all the marbles because it’s not clear there will be any more meetings between these two—and with the race razor close, the stakes could not be higher.
Harris is a better debater than she has been given credit for, but I still doubt very much that she can fill two full minutes with substance, policies, and positions.
One item that may show up is the recent rash of negative reporting on the Haitian invasion of small towns like Springfield, Ohio, where the people Kamala likes to call newcomers have apparently taken to eating domestic ducks at local parks and even pet cats from their neighbors.
Oh, and what about the idea that Kamala will just say anything—like that she now supports a border wall—just to get elected?
What about Harris’ record? Can it stand up to scrutiny?
Remember, it was not long ago that Democrats would do anything to get as far away as possible from Kamala.
Tonight will be the first real test in 50 days for the Democrat nominee who has not faced a single challenge yet, despite her hand maidens claiming otherwise.
