In the latest episode of “Democracy or Else,” Democrats Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, AG Dana Nessel, and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland are cranking up the heat on anyone who dares question their iron-fisted grip on election integrity – or what they call “integrity.”
Their message is loud and clear: toe the line or feel the full wrath of the state and the feds.
Jocelyn Benson, the self-proclaimed guardian of Michigan’s elections, recently sent a chilling message to local election officials in a video [1]: certify those results, – or else. “If someone were to violate the law and not certify the election at the local level, we will come for you,” she proclaimed, eyes blazing with the fervor of someone who’s just discovered the true joys of authoritarianism.
Benson’s playbook: rigged rules, election shenanigans, and obey or else.
Forget about nuance or independent judgment – or being non-partisan at all – Benson’s rule is simple: obey or be crushed. And this is happening after she’s done everything she possibly can to make sure she can help the Democrats win.
Let’s see, we have the state trying to get Cornel West off the ballot but keep Kennedy on; Benson installing election rules BEFORE they’re supposed to go into effect; Benson working with all kinds of election groups to “register” people in Democratic-rich places; dead people being kept on the voting rolls…and a whole bag of tricks she can pull to help drag Kamala across the finish line.
Benson isn’t just happy to threaten officials though. She’s on a crusade to stamp out “misinformation” by encouraging Michiganders to tattle on their neighbors. The state even set up an ominous email where citizens are urged to report anything that doesn’t fit the party line. Even the leftist Detroit “Free” Press [2] has joined the game and is asking people to disregard the first amendment and snitch on their partisan friends and enemies. Free speech? What free speech?
Nessel gears up to crush dissent.
Meanwhile, Democratic Michigan AG Dana Nessel isn’t sitting out the election shenanigans to help out her pals.
Dana Nessel is already on board with the strong-arm tactics. Her office has been busy firing off cease-and-desist letters [3] to residents like Kerry Lynn Elieff, who dared to post her worries about things like polling location changes. Nessel’s message? Toe the line or face prosecution. Apparently, the AG’s office now doubles as the Ministry of Truth, ensuring that any deviation from the official narrative is promptly squashed.
Garland the Enforcer.
And don’t forget the Biden-Harris administration’s Attorney General Merrick Garland who is also out threatening people [4]. Boasting about his track record of January 6th prosecutions, Garland is warning anyone thinking of interfering with the “peaceful transfer of power” that they’re next on the hit list.
For this tyrannical crew, dissent isn’t just frowned upon; it’s a punishable offense. And Garland happily recounts that they’ve gone after approximately 1400 Trump supporters who were anywhere near the Capitol on January 6th, 2021.
Challenge elections, face the consequences.
If you dare to contest the election results after the Democrats cheat again, this is Garland’s warning: “I think our prosecutions have made clear what we think about people who try to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power…way more than 1400 prosecutions…the last January 6th, the coming January 6th and every January 6th after that…we want to make clear to anybody who is thinking about interfering with that, they can see what we’ve done with respect to the January 6th prosecutions and the Justice Dept. will continue to protect our democracy.”
The whole Democratic operation to keep their power is reminiscent of a dystopian novel, where truth is whatever the government declares it to be on any given day – and they will use every tool in their toolbox to make sure that Trump never sets foot in the Oval Office again – no matter what.
What’s clear is that Benson, Nessel, and Garland are less interested in protecting the sanctity of elections and more interested in protecting their narrative and their party from oblivion. They’ve positioned themselves as the ultimate arbiters of truth (and judge and jury), wielding their authority like a club to silence opposition. If you dare to ask questions or raise a flag, prepare to be steamrolled by the very people claiming to defend democracy.
