Tuesday’s debate isn’t just Trump vs. Kamala – it’s Trump vs. the Democrat-friendly media machine. The stage is set for a showdown not only with the Vice President and a former president but also with a network that, according to Trump, has been rigging the game for years.
ABC News, led by its Disney overlords and run by Kamala’s close buddy Dana Walden, is in the hot seat, hosting the first (and probably only) presidential debate on Tuesday night at 9 pm EDT. “They are the most dishonest network, the meanest, the nastiest, but that is what I was presented with,” Trump declared at a Fox News town hall with Sean Hannity recently.
Trump continued to say, “A lot of people are going to watch to see how nasty they are,” Trump continued. “I agreed to do it because she wouldn’t do any other network. Another thing, her best friend is the head of the network. Her husband’s best friend is married to the head of the network. I’ve already heard that they’re (Harris campaign) are going to get the questions in advance.”
Trump is referring to Kamala bestie Dana Walden who is the Chair of Disney Entertainment, the owner of ABC News and has been called a “longtime” friend of Kamala according to the New York Times.
Questions in advance? Trump’s not betting against it.
Trump doesn’t just take issue with ABC’s biases – he’s outright predicting shady dealings accusing Kamala of getting questions in advance. He pointed to the 2016 Donna Brazile fiasco as precedent. For those who’ve forgotten, Brazile, then a CNN contributor, slipped Hillary Clinton questions ahead of a town hall. “We have a clause in the contract, you can’t give them the questions,” Trump noted, but with ABC’s track record, he’s not holding his breath.
A media debacle on the horizon?
Dana Walden’s close friendship with Harris isn’t some tabloid fluff; it’s a real, cozy connection that has many raising eyebrows about the debate’s integrity. Walden has long been part of Harris’s circle. Heck, Harris even credits Walden and her husband for setting her up with her own husband, Doug Emhoff. “In many ways, Dana and Matt are responsible for my marriage,” Harris once joked. Well, that’s not the kind of matchmaking Trump’s looking for next week.
The big picture: Trump vs. Kamala – and the media machine.
The debate is more than just words; it’s a spectacle of alliances, media biases, and strategic optics. And with all that the Democrats have done to derail Trump, there are really no limits to what they are willing to do.
As Trump takes the stage, it’s not just Kamala Harris in his sights but the entire Democrat-friendly media landscape that’s been nursing her candidacy from day one. It’s a high-stakes showdown where Trump will face off not just against the candidate but the corporate media that, in his eyes, has been setting the stage from behind the curtain. And for Trump, that’s all the more reason to step into the ring swinging – which I’m pretty sure that he will do.
