It’s August 15, do you know who your president is?

I want to spend some more time today on the very strange pick of the Governor of Minnesota to be Kamala Harris’ running mate. Tim Walz is so far left that he makes Kamala seem almost normal.

Let’s start with this question: Does Tim Walz know the Middle East is not part of the Midwest?

Not that he knows or cares, because he is as anti-democratic as any Middle Eastern extremist and as extreme as any Democrat in history. He is also as unqualified as he is unfit, combining the ineptness of Kamala Harris with the incompetence of Joe Biden.

But for the fact that he is from the Midwest, there is nothing Midwestern about him. But for the lies said in defense of Walz’s extremism, his policies are indefensible.
Rightfully so.

If we are to defeat Kamala Harris, we must start with Walz. We must reveal the truth about his record. We must reveal the extent to which he has misrepresented or lied about his record.

Bear in mind, too, that Walz’s campaign is one long campaign pledge. By claiming to be of the Midwest, by conflating politics with place, Walz seeks to place himself in the middle of the political spectrum. He seeks to look and sound like a middle American. His campaign, however, rests on a false premise—a negative stereotype—about residents of the heartland, that they are too gullible to know he is an extremist. It’s from this premise that Walz’s false pretense to moderation follows.

But facts are stubborn things.

And yet Walz’s record remains. The record of his votes as a congressman, the record of his betrayal of the voters of Minnesota, and the record of his attempts to avoid answering questions all remain.

Only by not talking about his record can Walz hope to come across as a moderate. And yet Walz is no talker; he lacks the skills to be a decent communicator, never mind a great one. All of which is to say President Trump should talk more about Walz’s extremism. Just as we know what President Trump wants to do, just as we know what he is for, so too must he explain what he is against.

Only by highlighting how extreme Walz is, only by emphasizing how leaderless America is right now, and only by telling the truth about this White House and its failing policies can President Trump return to it.

By explaining how dangerous it is to have Joe Biden roaming the White House or Kamala Harris running it can President Trump hope to save us from another extremist like Tim Walz.

In short, only by staying on message can voters get the message that President Trump should be our next Commander-in-Chief.

President Trump has a winning message on the economy, on the border, and in JD Vance, who is a true Midwesterner.

Unlike Walz, Vance does not have to evade or embellish his record. He does not have to hide behind false military ranks. Vance does not have to Walz—I mean waltz—in a different direction because of his record. He does not have to pretend he is someone else, from somewhere else, to earn our respect. Vance does not have to do anything except speak and be authentic.

To win the White House we must win the Midwest. The region, after all, produces presidents. Harrison, Lincoln, Grant, Hayes, Garfield, McKinley, Taft, Truman, and Ford all hail from the Midwest. The names include the great and the good, three of whom gave the last full measure of devotion, assassinated while in office. President Trump knows this too because he dodged a bullet—literally.

President Trump did not survive just to have Kamala Harris succeed him. The nation will not survive, the greatness of America will not endure, if Harris is president or Tim Walz is first in the line of presidential succession. To speak these truths—to speak them plainly—is to speak as a Midwesterner. Tim Walz does not speak this language.

To Walz, the language of America is foreign. He does not speak the language of natural rights or defend speakers who cite the Bill of Rights. The Declaration of Independence is beyond him, the Constitution beneath him, and the Pledge of Allegiance irrelevant to him. He is, however, fluent in the language of denial and doublespeak.

He speaks the language of “mostly peaceful protests.” He speaks the language of Antifa and BLM. He speaks the language of Ilhan Omar, which is the language of Hamas and the liturgy of jihad. He speaks the language of extremism.

The more Walz speaks, the more unbearable he sounds. In turn, the more President Trump speaks in opposition to Walz, the more he explains why Walz speaks for Harris, the more he emphasizes how similar the two sound, the more likely Trump is to win.

The more President Trump repeats the point that Kamala Harris is an unelected nominee with a running mate whose record is unknown, the more he explains how extreme Walz is, the easier it is to understand why Democrats do not want to talk about Walz’s record.

Tell us, President Trump, why Walz is an extremist.

Stay on message, Mr. President, because we cannot afford four more years of Kamala Harris.

Stick to the message, Mr. President, because America needs you as president.

Americans need to know why Harris is unsuitable to run for office and why Walz is unworthy to hold office.

Americans need to know why Harris and Walz are too extreme to run anything.

You have a winning message, Mr. President.
