Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made the smartest move of his political career on Friday – he stepped aside, suspending his presidential campaign, to support the one man who can truly make America great again: Donald J. Trump. In a world where the swamp runs deep and the establishment does everything to cling to power, Kennedy finally recognized that only Trump has the guts to drain it – and that a Kamala Harris administration would be way too scary to live through.

Kennedy, who has always been a bit of a maverick, clearly sees what the rest of us have known for years: Trump is the only leader who puts America first – and the only leader who fights government corruption (on both sides). By throwing his weight behind Trump, Kennedy is showing he’s not afraid to buck the system, even if it means leaving behind the old-school politics of Camelot.

On Friday, Kennedy made the announcement that he was suspending his campaign – and that voters should still vote for him in red and blue states, but in the swing states where every vote matters, the electorate should choose Trump. Although in Michigan, Kennedy will remain on the ballot as the Natural Law Party candidate because minor party candidates can’t withdraw.

The beginning of Kennedy’s speech was a scathing indictment of the Democratic Party – the destroyers of Democracy. He described how they did everything they could to keep him off the ballot in as many states as possible, have censored people, rigged their primary, rigged their presidential candidate in a “palace coup” and much more. He went after them so eloquently in fact that CNN and MSNBC cut off most of his live feed.
Kennedy talked about how the Dems used to stand against “uthoritarianism, against censorship, against colonialism, imperialism, and unjust wars.” But no more. He said the Dems used to be the party of labor, the working class, government transparency and the champion of the environment. He said, “Our party was the bulwark against big money, interests and corporate power. True to its name, it was the party of democracy. As you know, I left that party in October because it had departed so dramatically from the core values that I grew up with.”

Kennedy described the new Democratic party that we have now as the party of “war, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big ag and big money.” He also pointed out their censorship, media control and weaponization of federal agencies as an attack on free expression.
He described how the Democrats waged their legal wars against both him and Trump in order to save themselves and their power, not democracy – and that their only goal is to beat Trump, whose named they mentioned 147 times at the first day of their convention in Chicago.
Kennedy also pointed out the ways in which he agrees with Trump on many issues, and said during his speech that he disagrees with the Dems on most existential issues. He said that Trump was open to discuss chronic disease and having safe food and other issues that were important to Kennedy and that he’s met with Trump several times.
Kennedy said that Trump suggested they join forces as a “unity” party where they could disagree publicly and privately and fiercely if need be but work together on the issues they agree on including: ending the forever wars, ending the childhood disease epidemics, securing the border, protecting freedom of speech, unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies, getting the US intelligence agencies out of the business of propagandizing and censoring and surveilling Americans and interfering with our elections.
Kennedy also scolded the media for not upholding their duties of being a free press and holding government to accountability. He said they were not independent at all and that the major networks only offered him two live interviews and ran hit pieces on him during his presidential run.

Kennedy spoke to the media directly saying, “I’ll just take a moment to ask you to consider the many ways that your institutions have abdicated this really sacred responsibility, the duty of a free press to safeguard democracy and to challenge always the party in power. Instead of maintaining that posture of fear skepticism toward authority, your institutions have made themselves government mouthpieces and stenographers for the organs of power. You didn’t alone cause the devolution of American democracy, but you could have prevented it. The Democratic party censorship of social media was even more of a naked exercise of executive power.”

Kennedy said he was open to having discussions with VP Harris but she refused to meet or even speak to him. He added that he doubts, should she become president, she would “allow” him to solve any of the dire problems he’s concerned with and has put his faith in Trump to work with him.
Kennedy ended his speech saying that during his campaigning for Trump, “I will appeal to the values they unite us, the goals that we could achieve if only we weren’t at each other’s throats. The most unifying theme for all Americans is that we all love our children. If we all unite around that issue, now we can finally give them the protection, health, and the future that they deserve.”

Following his speech, Kennedy (who Trump called “Bobby”) made a “surprise” appearance at the Trump rally in Glendale, Arizona, standing shoulder to shoulder with the infamous “Orange Man Bad,” much to the delight of the roaring crowd, with pyrotechnics and the Foo Fighters’ 1997 hit “My Hero” playing in the background. Kennedy talked about how Trump was going to get us out of the wars, end censorship, protect America’s freedoms and rebuild the middle class.
Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee responded to Kennedy’s announcement by saying that it has no affect on the race (even though the Dems have been in litigation to keep him off the ballot for months). Spokeswoman Hannah Muldavin laughably told News Nation, “ This changes nothing about the actual election.”
The Harris campaign took a different approach to the announcement with them welcoming Kennedy supporters by saying, “For any American out there who is tired of Donald Trump and looking for a new way forward, ours is a campaign for you. In order to deliver for working people and those who feel left behind, we need a leader who will fight for you, not just for themselves, and bring us together, not tear us apart. Vice President Harris wants to earn your support.”
With this bold move of endorsing Trump, RFK Jr. has not only cemented his legacy as a political maverick but also as a patriot who puts the country above party lines.
