In the latest episode of “Two Billionaires Walk into a Chat Room,” Elon Musk and Donald Trump spent two hours waxing poetic on X discussing everything from government spending to the finer points of surviving assassination attempts.
It was a conversation on X that was delayed more than 40 minutes thanks to a reported DDoS problem that Musk called a “cyberattack.”
However, if the leftists and Iran tried to stymie the exchange, it failed. The dynamic duo still managed to cover a lot of ground once they got up and running, including how illegal immigration saved Trump’s life.
Miracle on Chart Street.
The former president credited a chart on illegal immigration with saving his life during the July assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. As Trump recounted the tale, the bullet that grazed him did so because he was showing off an immigration chart. Cue Musk’s endorsement: “Courageous,” he called it, as if narrowly dodging bullets was all in a day’s work for Orange Man Bad.
Trump said, “For those people that don’t believe in God, I think we’ve all got to start thinking about that. I’m a believer, but it’s made me more of a believer, I think. A lot of great people have said that to me, actually. It was amazing that I happened to be turned at that perfect angle.”
Efficiency in government? LOL.
Elon suggested a “Government Efficiency Commission” to make the federal government leaner and meaner. Trump, never one to stop self-aggrandizing, couldn’t resist pointing out that he had saved a cool $1.6 billion on Air Force One upgrades. But it was Musk who really stole the show, volunteering to help cut through the government fat. The Harris HQ over on X quickly responded, taking notes on how Musk loves firing striking workers. Not a bad idea really to fire a plethora of government workers (whose only goal will be to sabotage Trump in office).
The dark comedy of Biden’s political demise.
The two billionaires didn’t shy away from some gallows humor either when discussing Biden’s exit from the 2024 race. Musk compared it to an old farm animal being put down behind the shed, with Trump concurring, albeit with a bit more restraint (yes, Trump had a bit of restraint). And one of those farmers with the shotgun is Democratic former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who Biden doesn’t seem very happy with [1] at the moment.
“Defective government” and other bold claims.
Trump didn’t mince words when it came to his thoughts on the current administration. “Defective” was the word of the day, as Trump casually ranked his domestic enemies above international adversaries like Russia and China. He told Musk, “We have some really bad people in our government. I’d say they’re more dangerous than Russia or China. We need a smart president, a president that gets it. We are not in danger from those countries because they need us and they need our help.”
Musk thinks that Trump is the solution [2] to what ails the country and said to Trump, “We’re at a fork in the road of destiny of civilization, and I think we need to take the right path, and I think you’re the right path.”
A dome of iron to protect the United States.
Not content with just bashing Biden, Trump threw out the idea of an “Iron Dome” for America, like the one Israel uses – because common sense would dictate that our politicians would actually want to keep us safe with a missile defense system over every important American city. Musk didn’t seem to push back much on this one – perhaps he was too busy imagining how much that kind of tech would cost (and how he could turn a profit from it).
“Vegetable stage”: A diplomatic assessment.
In what might be the least subtle jab of the evening, Trump opined that Biden is approaching the “vegetable stage” of life. You know, just your average presidential critique. Musk, playing along, suggested that the U.S. is currently without a functioning president.
Trump said, “I looked at him (Biden) on the beach (in photos over the weekend) and I thought why would anyone allow him – the guy could barely walk. Does he have a political adviser that thinks this looks good?”
When truth takes a backseat with the “free” press.
The leftist media didn’t want the interview to happen at all. During a press conference with White House propagandist Karine Jean-Pierre, Washington Post reporter Cleve Wootson had asked [3], “What role does the White House or the President have any sort of stopping that or stopping the spread of that or sort of inter – intervening in that. Some of that was about campaign misinformation, but you know it’s a wider thing, right?”
Seriously dude. Have you EVER read the Constitution??
WaPo isn’t the only ones who hasn’t read the Constitution. You can put the UAW in that category too. They are filing federal labor charges [4] against Musk and Trump for intimidating and threatening workers during the interview on X. Yes, really.
And the reviews of the interview are everywhere. Folks like USA Today [5] gave it an unbiased critique saying that Trump “sounded like a disoriented, racist Daffy Duck.”
