Do you know who your president is? I know the guy who has been pretending to be president for the past three years will come out from the basement, but he is not running a thing.
Welcome to day one of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago—where all bets are off as to what could happen this week. I am here in the United Center, the house that Michael Jordan built and that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz want to burn down on the way to a socialist utopia.
Tonight, the Near West Side of Chicago will most likely be the nearest thing to a free-fire zone. The area will be overrun by 100,000 pro-Palestine radicals and thousands of Democrats.
The two groups will descend on the United Center, ironically enough, for the start of the Democratic National Convention.
The two are in town, in part, because of Joe Biden. While the mob outside plans to jeer Biden, the crowd inside plans to cheer him. And yet the two oppose him at the very same time—confused yet?
The two differ in tactics, not beliefs, as both are anti-democratic and increasingly antisemitic. The two want Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to replace Biden, and they want to go even farther to the left.
We want the opposite—naturally. We do, however, want to hear if Biden will tell us where he’s been for the last month, never mind the last four years. We want to hear if he knows where he is because he sounds like he looks, lost.
Biden lost the nomination to Kamala Harris, his number two, whose policies would make America a third-rate power. He lost the White House without leaving it in what the New York Times now even called a coup.
And now, after losing his debate with President Trump, a loss so humiliating that Democrats themselves do not debate who won, Biden wants to tell us he’s fine. He wants to lie to us and will.
For every lie Biden says about President Trump, the truth is in the streets. The radicals, Antifa, BLM, allies of jihad and Hamas, and the enemies of the West are all outside the United Center on the West Side of Chicago. The radicals are in town to seize the city and conquer the party. Regardless of where they assemble or what they do, whether they commit violence or sanction it, they control the Democrat Party. And regardless of what Biden says tonight, he is powerless to stop them.
Even if Biden were aware of the situation, even if his aides were to go against what “Doctor” Jill Biden advises and tell him how bad the situation is, it wouldn’t matter.
Even if Biden were inclined to do something, it wouldn’t matter.
Even if Biden were as courageous as John F. Kennedy, even if Biden were to speak in the spirit of Kennedy without trying to steal the man’s valor or words, it wouldn’t matter. The party is over.
The party that promised to pay any price to assure the survival and the success of liberty now belongs to a candidate who promises to outlaw “price gouging.” Such is the state of the Democrat Party under Kamala Harris. Such is the state of her campaign with its use of cheap rhetoric and its reliance on (in the words of the Washington Post) “populist gimmicks.”
For the Post to attack Harris, such that she comes across as illiberal on inflation and illiterate on economics, says a lot.
For The Post to say that Harris is an ignoramus, that her pandering is not only excessive but ruinously expensive, says everything.
For Democrats not to insist that Harris respond to The Post, says how arrogant and extreme the party now is.
This is the party that Joe Biden will address tonight. This is the party that Michelle Obama will address tomorrow night. This is the party that Tim Walz will address Wednesday night. This is the party that Kamala Harris will address Thursday night.
As for those who refuse to be a party to the destruction of the Democrat Party, who agree with President Kennedy that sometimes party loyalty asks too much, we ask them to join us.
President Trump asks for their support. President Trump has the decency to thank his supporters. President Trump also has the courage of the man whose cousin so many Democrats adore: Roosevelt.
Like the 26th president of the United States, Trump knows what it’s like to be shot.
Like the 32nd president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Trump knows what it’s like when an assassin opens fire.
Like FDR in Miami, where five bystanders were injured and one killed, so too with the loss of Corey Comperatore.
Like Teddy Roosevelt, Trump knows what it means to be in the arena.
Like FDR, Trump knows he has enemies who are unanimous in their hatred of him—and he welcomes their hatred.
The enemies of President Trump are the enemies of Americanism, meaning the ideas and the ideals that unite us.
The Democrats inside the United Center are themselves the enemies of law and justice, of peace at home and security abroad.
The party is the enemy of domestic tranquility because the party is the plaything of extremists, the instrument by which radicals exact vengeance and perpetrate violence.
The party of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Tim Walz is the enemy of intelligence and honor.
The Democrat party is the enemy of liberty, freedom, and Americans everywhere.
Yes, the Democrat Party is the enemy of the people.
