When you have a (presumed) Democratic nominee for President of the United States who has NO HISTORY OF ACCOMPLISHMENT whatsoever, what do you run on? Well, besides her race and gender, the Democrats are turning to their go-to strategy of winning elections: abortions.
Even though the Dobbs Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe vs. Wade and turned over abortion decisions into the hands of the states has actually led to MORE ABORTIONS (up significantly in fact!), the Democratic Party is not above gaslighting the American people on the issue in order to win elections.
Therefore, Kamala is using the phrase “we won’t go back” all the time – and the Democrats are yelling to anyone who will listen that their baby-killing spree is in jeopardy. It isn’t.
A Michigan mirage: abortion “rights” are NOT in jeopardy or under attack.
Ah, Kamala Harris and the Democrats, the ultimate fairy-tale spinners…Recently, they’ve been weaving a “chilling” yarn about abortion rights in Michigan, crying wolf about the end of reproductive freedom if Trump gets back in the White House. Let’s unpack this melodrama, shall we?
In 2022, Michigan passed Proposal 3, proudly enshrining the right to abortion in the state’s constitution. But hold your horses. Vice President Harris is now sounding the alarm, claiming all this will vanish if Trump wins and signs a national abortion ban. That won’t happen. Nevertheless, according to Kamala, the sky is falling, and only Democrats can save us from the impending doom. And especially her.
The state of the union: Supreme Court and state power.
Let’s get real. The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade handed the power to regulate abortion back to the states. This is a basic civics lesson, folks – and Trump is on board with that.
If Michigan has already protected abortion rights, a national ban would face significant legal challenges, given the state’s constitutional protections. Not to mention, we all know that Republican senators (no mater how many we have) would never sign on to anything like a national abortion ban.
Survey says: emotions running high, math running low.
Planned Parenthood, always wanting donations and always wanting people to think that abortions will be outlawed under Republicans, recently conducted a survey on voters’ feelings about the future of reproductive health and rights. Here’s the breakdown:
- Hopeful: 15%
- Sad: 30%
- Disappointed: 27%
- Angry: 55%
- Energized: 10%
- Determined: 33%
Now, I’m no math wizard, but that adds up to more than 100%. Maybe Planned Parenthood should focus on arithmetic before alarmism.
The Democrats’ persistent narrative on abortion being in jeopardy is how they feel they can win elections – so they aren’t about to stop gaslighting the American electorate anytime soon.
With the Democrats’s putting out their latest episode of “The Sky is Falling,” Kamala and her crew are eagerly whipping up a storm over abortion rights, trying to convince everyone that the end is nigh. But when you cut through the hysteria and get down to the facts, it’s clear they’re just fishing for votes with their usual bait of fear and misinformation. Let’s just say, if political drama were an Olympic sport, Kamala would be going for gold.
