As the political circus ramps up for 2024, the best thing the Republican Party and Donald Trump could hope for is Kamala Harris being front and center. The more the Democrats push her into the spotlight, the more voters get to see what a spectacular disaster she is.
Laughing all the way to the polls.
Kamala Harris, with zero executive experience, will quickly become a sideshow in the political arena. Her attempts at foreign policy are nothing short of cringe-worthy and her public persona is more suited for a comedy club than the vice presidency or the presidency.
Harris’s laughter, often mistaken for a cackle, echoes through her public appearances. It’s her go-to move, seemingly in an effort to appear relatable. Spoiler alert: she’s not.
The great California disconnect.
Harris hails from the liberal stronghold of California, a place as disconnected from middle America as Mars. She tries to paint herself as “one of us,” but her attempts are laughable at best. The Democrats’ attempt to sell her as a relatable figure to the average American is as convincing as a fish trying to sell bicycles.
Word salads and gaffes galore.
Harris’s public speaking is a veritable buffet of word salads. Each speech is a new and unappetizing mix of phrases that leave audiences scratching their heads. Remember that time she tried to explain space exploration to children and it turned into an awkward mishmash of nonsense?
She was also mocked by the media, including Sky News America, when she talked about space at the Congressional Space Medal of Honor Ceremony. Sky News actually had their three anchors do Kamala impressions during their segment and mockingly said that Kamala always brings “intellectual heft” to her speeches. I think maybe Kamala should stay away from talking about space. Although her take on yellow school buses didn’t turn out much better than her explanations about space.
Perhaps Kamala’s most well known word salad is the one about the significance of the passage of time. That one will always be a favorite of mine. After, all there is great significance to the passage of time. Great significance. To the passage of time.
Kamala was also relentlessly mocked about her explanation of Ukraine and Russia. Now that Kamala is the presumptive Democratic nominee, this is more sad than funny during our turbulent times across the globe.
Kamala is no Obama, and her oratory skills make one long for the days of coherent political discourse.
A leadership vacuum.
Even Democrats see her as a joke – or at least they did until the coup ousting Biden happened. The polls reflected her dismal standing the last time she ran, and not much has changed except the Democrats and the media are propping her up as the bee’s knees and the cat’s pajamas. In other words, she’s all they’ve got.
So, here’s the silver lining for the GOP: Let Kamala be Kamala. Every public appearance, every awkward laugh, every gaffe is a gift wrapped in a bow for the Republican campaign. Let her secure the nomination and then flame out spectacularly. By then, it’ll be too late to replace her and too late for another Democratic coup.
