Can You Hear Me Now? The Obamas Finally Throw Kamala a Lifeline With Endorsement

In a move that surprised exactly no one, former President Barack Obama and his wife finally decided to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic presidential nominee in her quest to expel Orange Man bad from the Oval Office for all time to come. After five days of deafening silence and speculation, Barack swooped in like a celebrity arriving at a party just as everyone was getting ready to leave.

The Obamas put out a statement on X about 5:30 a.m. this morning (about five hours before lazy Biden gets up). The post is below along with a video of Kamala answering his phone cal (isn’t that cute?!) along with Michelle saying, “I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala: I am proud of you. This is going to be historic.”

X: the New Town Square.

Barack says, “Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.”

Michelle also has her own statement on X:

NBC reports that the Obamas are expected to hit the campaign trail for Kamala, aiming to boost attendance at her rallies and generate Democratic voter enthusiasm – despite the fact that none has ever existed before.

Barack forced to make endorsement now.

I was expecting Barack to make his endorsement at the upcoming DNC convention so that he could make a big splash – and I’m guessing he still might be the one to “introduce” her there. But he had to do the endorsement now because the media was writing all kinds of articles about him being “very upset” that Kamala is the candidate according to a “Biden insider.” Therefore, doing damage control was in order.

Kamala’s grand moment.

The promise of an endorsement – and the phone call – apparently happened on Wednesday when Kamala was ignoring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his speech to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday (she was instead in Indianapolis to speak at the historically Black Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.’s Grand Boulé event).

But the Obamas chose today to release their endorsement, coinciding with Trump’s meeting with Netanyahu. It’s evident that the Democrats are trying to dominate the media narrative and keep Trump out of the headlines. This timing is also strategic, as Kamala recently told her leftist base that Israel has a right to exist – a statement her young voters don’t want to hear. This isn’t the kind of news Kamala wants plastered all over TV, the internet, and social media though many of her leftist media allies are conveniently ignoring the story to support her campaign.

Kamala Harris, ever the diplomat, responded with gratitude during the call with the Obamas. She expressed her deep appreciation for their support, emphasizing how much it means to her campaign. Kamala added that she looks forward to working closely with them and believes that they’re going to have “fun” on the campaign trail together.

The Democrats are very giddy that they got rid of old man excited that they have a new candidate to promote – no matter how bad Biden’s replacement may be.

That means it will be all the sweeter in November when their hopes and dreams come crashing down, just like they did when Hillary lost. It was a beautiful thing to watch them as they sat, waited and wept in disbelief when Trump clinched victory. They weren’t just disappointed; they were stunned. Shocked. After all, the New York Times gave Hillary a 91% chance of winning, echoed by all their media allies.

HuffPo said she had a 98% chance. Guess Trump was our 2% miracle. Hopefully, he will be again.
