Rev your engines, folks, because the Democrats are on a high-speed chase to control your every move on the road. It’s bad enough they’re trying to get rid of our gas-powered vehicles and stuff us all into electric vehicles. However, they have even more planned than that as they look to wield their tyrannical control over every move we make (literally).

Michigan, the birthplace of the American automobile, is the latest track for their invasive pit stop. Let’s take a spin through the Democrats’ trifecta of tyranny: tracking, taxing, and ticketing.

Track Us: Big Brother in the driver’s seat.

Already, the newer cars (and many of the older ones as well) have all kinds of data that the car companies collect on us. Data that the government is just salivating to get their little grimy paws on. And already, in court cases, such as murder cases, where they are looking to prosecute drivers for things and figure out where they were and what they were doing, this information has been used. And don’t even get me started talking about license plate readers…

But wait, there’s more…

There’s going to be some real-time tracking of us in Michigan if the Democrats get their way. In a scene straight out of Orwell, Michigan lawmakers are pushing for a $5 million pilot program to slap a mileage-based road usage fee on drivers.

Tax Us: Pay by the mile.

The idea? To install GPS trackers in your car, monitoring every mile you drive. With traditional fuel taxes drying up, the mileage tax is their turbocharged solution. It’s a stealthy way to siphon more money from your wallet, mile by mile. They say it’s to replace declining gas tax revenues due to the rise of electric vehicles. But don’t be fooled. This is also about putting Big Brother in the driver’s seat of your personal vehicle.

Rep. Ranjeev Puri, chair of the House Appropriations Transportation Subcommittee, insists this is just a voluntary program. Sure, it starts as a “pilot,” but we all know how that goes. Today it’s voluntary; tomorrow it’s mandatory.

The only thing more certain than the potholes on Michigan roads is the slippery slope of government surveillance. How long before they start tracking your every stop for gas, groceries, and a quick burger at the drive-thru to make sure you aren’t buying too many Ding Dongs and Big Macs?!

The Democratic vision of Michigan’s future seems to involve more taxes, more bureaucracy, and more intrusion into your daily life. The mileage tax is essentially a toll on every mile you drive, regardless of whether you’re cruising through the countryside or crawling in city traffic.

Ticket Us: Revving up fines if you’re driving too noisily.

If tracking and taxing weren’t enough, Democrats are also revving up the fines if you make too much noise while you’re driving. Michigan’s proposed House Bill 5696, courtesy of Democratic Rep. Natalie Price aims to slap up to a $1,000 fine on drivers whose cars create “excessive noise.” If your vehicle is loud, you could find yourself paying the price – literally.

Rep. Price’s crusade against loud exhausts is just the beginning. The bill authorizes police to impound your car for repeat offenses. That’s right: Make too much noise, and you could lose your ride. This bill is music to the ears of those who want to see a quieter world, but for the rest of us, it’s just another way for the government to reach into our pockets and our vehicles and control our behavior.

Is there even a Constitution anymore? The Democrats surely don’t act like it.

Beep, beep, beep…

Meanwhile, in California, a new bill would require cars to beep when drivers exceed the speed limit by more than 10 mph. Imagine your car nagging you with incessant beeps every time you press a little too hard on the gas. It’s like having a backseat driver built into your dashboard.

The state plans to enforce this by 2032, using GPS (GPS again!) to monitor your speed against posted limits. It’s as if the Democrats won’t be happy until every car on the road sounds like a microwave left on too long – and they can track every one of us all of the time.

Hitting the brakes on freedom.

So there you have it, folks: the Democrats’ grand plan to control us through our cars. They want to track us with GPS, tax us per mile, and ticket us into submission. And they want your GPS to tell them if you are doing what they want you to do at every second.

It’s an all-out assault on our freedom to drive without Big Brother riding shotgun. They’re not just targeting our cars; they’re targeting our way of life.

It’s time to hit the brakes on these invasive policies. Let’s keep the government out of our garages and off our roads. Because if we don’t, the freedom of the open road might soon be a thing of the past.

QUIT VOTING FOR DEMOCRATS!!!!!
