In a shocking twist worthy of a dystopian sci-fi novel, our brave men and women in uniform are now on the front lines of the Democrats’ latest climate crusade. The Department of Defense (DoD) has decided to team up with BioMADE, a bio-industrial manufacturing company, to feed our troops lab- grown meat. The reason? To “reduce the CO2 footprint of food production” according to the company involved.
Yes, as a “thank you for your service” the Biden administration is giving our soldiers a petri dish burger.
The great lab-grown meat experiment.
The masterminds behind this brilliant plan announced last month that lab-grown meat is the key to saving the planet from imminent climate doom. Forget the quality and taste of real beef; what really matters is how many carbon molecules we can save.
BioMADE, basking in the glow of a $450 million budget increase from the DoD, is pioneering this avant-garde approach to food production by using “novel cell culture methods.” Translation: our soldiers will be eating science projects instead of steaks.
Outrage from all corners.
Unsurprisingly, this proposal has not been met with applause. In fact, it’s been skewered from Congress to cattle ranchers. Ethan Lane, Vice President of Government Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, didn’t mince words.
“It is outrageous that the Department of Defense is spending millions of taxpayer dollars to feed our heroes like lab rats,” he fumed to Just the News. Lane’s frustration is palpable as he champions the superiority of American-raised beef over bioreactor-born protein sludge.
Lane’s sentiment is echoed by a growing chorus of critics who argue that our troops deserve better than what essentially amounts to a science experiment. Serving lab-grown meat to soldiers is not only a culinary downgrade but also a slap in the face to those who have dedicated their lives to defending our country.
Political pushback.
Even political heavyweights are entering the fray. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed legislation banning the sale of lab-grown meat in his state. His office’s statement was clear: while global elites at the World Economic Forum preach the virtues of meatless diets, Florida is doubling down on real, farm-raised beef, We’re encouraging residents to continue to consume and enjoy 100% real Florida beef.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) also chimed in, taking to social media to voice his disdain for the concept of artificial meat. “I’m taking a hard pass on artificial meat, whether it’s grown from animal
cells that have attributes of tumors, or manufactured from plants (e.g., veggie burgers),” Massie said on the social media platform X. His point? Real food comes from farms, not factories.
The bigger picture.
What’s truly baffling about this whole debacle is the sheer audacity of using our troops as test subjects for an UNPROVEN and highly controversial technology. Soldiers, who endure countless hardships and risks, should not have to worry about the origin of their meals. They deserve the best, and that means real, wholesome food – not lab concoctions.
This misguided project highlights a worrying trend in the current administration’s approach to climate change (and everything else they do): prioritizing ideological purity over practical solutions. Recently, I told you about their insane DEI policies putting a hinder to their own wet dream of having EV charging stations all over the country.
In this situation, instead of leveraging America’s existing agricultural prowess, we’re pouring money into experimental foods, gambling with the well-being of our service members.
In the end, this isn’t just about what’s on the dinner plate. It’s about respect for those who serve and protect our nation. Feeding our troops lab-grown meat isn’t just a culinary misstep; it’s a profound misjudgment of priorities. In other words, it’s what Democrats do.
