Former Republican President Donald J. Trump, in a recent proclamation, hailed the upcoming November election as “Christian Visibility Day,” countering President Biden’s declaration of “Transgender Day of Visibility” on March 31, which coincided with Easter Sunday this year.
Trump said on his Truth Social account, ”Election Day, November 5th, will be the most important day in the History of our Country. It will also be Christian Visibility Day, the biggest turnout of Christians in the history of our Country!”
In President Biden’s transgender proclamation this year, he said, “We honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union – where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.”
The Trump campaign swiftly responded, urging Biden to issue an apology [1] for his actions.
“It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House…declared Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility,’” said Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt.
She added, “Sadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on the Christian faith. We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only – the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
