In a move that will surely have Democrats reaching for their comfort blankets and Kleenex, the Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision, has given a resounding nod to Donald Trump’s appearance on the 2024 presidential ballot.
Cue the collective gasp from the left and a day-long whiney rant on CNN and MSNBC about how unfair life is.
Trump will be an official candidate everywhere tomorrow that has a primary.
The ruling, arriving just a day before the Colorado Republican primary and Super Tuesday, is a blow to those hoping to play the “ineligibility” card against the former president. The Colorado Supreme Court had earlier declared the leading Republican contender ineligible, citing Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and accusing Trump of playing a little too fast and loose with insurrection.
However, the Supreme Court, adhering to the Constitution for a change, decided that the responsibility of enforcing the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection” clause against federal officeholders and candidates is Congress’ exclusive domain.
Forget the states; they’re mere spectators in this political circus. Too bad, so sad for all of those Democratic Secretaries of States and governors who want to boot Trump out of the political realm.
Justices slap the hands of the states.
The justices were quick to school the states on the potential chaos they could unleash if left to decide who makes the cut for the ballot. Imagine the horror of a candidate being deemed ineligible in one state but strutting their political stuff in another, all for the same indiscretions.
The justices, perhaps nursing a headache from such hypothetical pandemonium, emphatically stated, “Nothing in the Constitution requires that we endure such chaos.”
You can almost hear the sighs of relief from the ballot-printing companies.
The Democrats pushed things a little too far – as they always do.
This decision slaps down the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling, which had accused Trump of violating the 14th Amendment through his alleged shenanigans in attempting to overturn the 2020 election and the infamous Capitol riot of January 6, 2021.
Sorry, Colorado, the Supreme Court has spoken, and Trump’s name shall NOT be erased from the sacred ballot.
Even the leftists can find the Constitution once in a while.
All the more surprising was the fact that this ruling was unanimous with even the leftist judges going along with protecting Trump from the out-of-control Trump haters.
Their concurring opinion, adorned with a quote from the case that put a dagger through the heart of Roe v. Wade, acknowledged that kicking Trump off the ballot would create a “chaotic state-by-state patchwork” that would be “at odds with our Nation’s federalism principles.”
For those keeping score in Illinois and Maine, where similar decisions had left Trump on the sidelines, the Supreme Court’s decision is likely the final nail in the “ineligibility” coffin. All rulings were on hold, awaiting the grand proclamation from the Supreme Court. Now, as the impact ripples through, Trump remains a formidable force on the ballot.
Nikki Haley needs to get a clue and wake up to reality.
And with Super Tuesday coming up tomorrow, Orange Man Bad’s nomination is pretty much a done deal by the end of March – or sooner.
Hey, Nikki, can you hear that? It’s the sound of your campaign imploding – unless of course she’s still waiting for Trump to be hauled off to jail in handcuffs.
In the grand scheme of things, the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision is a reminder to Democrats that crying all day won’t change the outcome. All nine Justices, with varying degrees of enthusiasm, agree: Trump stays on the ballot.
So, there you have it, folks. The Supreme Court has given the Democrats the news they were dreading – Trump is here to stay on the ballot, much to their dismay.

Maybe the Democrats should give up their election interference, their election rigging, their lawsuits and their B.S. attempts to bounce Trump off the face of the earth and try winning elections the old- fashioned way – at the polls.
