Why is the Senate is always full of a bunch of border security frauds who pretend they want to participate in immigration overhauls? When it comes to immigration legislation, there always seems to be RINOs who jump on board with the leftists to create smoke and mirrors to make us think they actually want to do something about the border crisis.
But they don’t. For whatever reason, there always seems to be “uniparty” of those who write anti- American bills that do nothing to protect our country from foreign invaders.
Another disastrous border “deal.”
Even Reagan got hoodwinked by his fellow colleagues and signed a border bill in 1986 that allowed three million illegal aliens to get amnesty. THAT legislation was also sold as a “crackdown” on illegal alien immigration. But it wasn’t. It was a scam, a fraud, a hoax.
Did Reagan get his “new era of enforcement” that was promised? Did the legislation actually stop workers from hiring illegal aliens? No. Because Democrats lie. And so do RINOs.
That hoax was called the “Immigration Reform and Control Act.”
The border bill hoax does nothing to protect the country against the invasion.
The new hoax coming out of the Senate is a 370-page bill that is under the header of “Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act.”
Emergency? Yes, THAT word is certainly correct. We certainly have an emergency at the border.
But this bill sure has NOTHING to do with national security. In fact, it’s quite anti-security and anti- American like most things that are written in a “bi-partisan” manner i.e. Dems and RINOs working together to screw us over.
5,000 invaders a day is NOT acceptable.
The so-called “shut-down” of the border after they hit a magical 5,000 number is laughable. First of all, since WHEN is 5,000 illegal aliens invading our country even acceptable? NEVER. That’s 1.5 million a year – at a minimum.
And what are they going to do – stand at all of the borders with a “clicker”? Nothing is going to be enforced – the language allows the Homeland Insecurity Secretary to do what he wants. There are the words “may” and “shall” all over the place. No actual mandates.
Homeland Security Secretary can do what he/she wants.
Page 119 loophole: “Whenever the border emergency authority is activated, the Secretary shall have the authority, in the Secretary’s sole and unreviewable discretion, to summarily remove from and prohibit, in whole or in part, entry into the United States of any alien identified in subsection (a)(3) who is subject to such authority in accordance with this subsection.”
Sole and unreviewable discretion. Hm… that doesn’t sound very constitutional. How is anything a bureaucrat does UNREVIEWABLE???
Exception after exception…
Then we have a crapload of exceptions for counting the 5,000 illegal aliens. Page 117 loophole:
We aren’t counting unaccompanied alien children or “an alien who an immigration officer determines, with the approval of a supervisory immigration officer, should be excepted from the border emergency authority based on the totality of the circumstances.”
Totality of circumstances? What does THAT even mean? Anything the Dems say it does, of course.
The bill also says that exemptions can happen “due to operational considerations.” What does THAT mean? If they’re busy on lunch, the alien gets to be let through?
They can also exempt people who are victims of sex-trafficking. How do they get proof of that? I guess it’s the honor system. Whatever the illegal alien says is fact.
Exceptions for all Democrats want exceptions for.
We also aren’t counting aliens who has “lawful permission” to enter the United States. Well, that isn’t hard to do. The Biden folks can just give them an “okey dokey” thumbs up on their “Welcome to America” border crossing app. Easy-peasy.
Then there’s Section F which exempts Biden’s “parole” friends says Breitbart News [1].
Only those “from” Canada and Mexico are counted.
Then we have perhaps the most laughable part of the bill which says on page 124 that illegal aliens “from noncontiguous countries shall not be included in calculating the sum of aliens encountered.” Breitbart News says that loophole ensures that only illegal aliens from Canada and Mexico may count towards the 5,000 per day trigger. Those from the other zillion countries are free to enter.
Another egregious part of the bill creates what Breitbart News calls “an asylum corps that has the authority to quickly provide migrants with green cards, even without facing a trained judge in the nation’s independent asylum courts. The legislation also provides money to hire more than 4,000 asylum officers, likely from the growing array of investor-funded pro-migration advocacy groups.”
The bottom line is that even if there IS any good in the bill (of which I see little of), you can bet your booty that those parts will be completely ignored by the Democrats and they will only implement the things that they want to implement. They will ignore the rest – because, as with most other things, WHO is going to stop them?
WE have the power, not the democrats. Republicans should act like it.
Well, the answer to that is HOPEFULLY our House of Representatives. Even if the Senate is able to pass this farce, the House had better be our firewall.
Because WE have the power. The Republicans. We hold the House and can give the Democrats ZERO Ukraine money. And ZERO of anything else that they want. The House should be dictating what happens at the border and the amount of money that Ukraine and Israel gets. The Senate shouldn’t be writing any immigration legislation at all.
This should be all about what the Republicans are willing to offer. “We” don’t have to agree to anything that the Democrats want.
Ukraine wins big, no surprise.
And while we are talking about lunacy, how is it that Ukraine gets $60.06 billion but Israel only gets $14.1 billion in security assistance? And only about $20 billion for OUR border security? Another joke. And about $2.3 billion for the NGOs and other groups who traffic the illegal aliens.
House republicans to the rescue?
Luckily, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said about the Senate bill on X, “I’ve seen enough. This bill is even worse than we expected, and won’t come close to ending the border catastrophe the President has created. As the lead Democrat negotiator proclaimed: Under this legislation, ‘the border never closes.’ If this bill reaches the House, it will be dead on arrival.”
Republican Majority Leader Steve Scalise concurred, and said in a statement on X: “Let me be clear: The Senate Border Bill will NOT receive a vote in the House. Here’s what the people pushing this “deal” aren’t telling you: It accepts 5,000 illegal immigrants a day and gives automatic work permits to asylum recipients—a magnet for more illegal immigration.”
Republican Utah Senator Mike Lee said it simply on X: “The border deal is even worse than we thought. No one who cares about our border security should support it. It is a betrayal of the American people.”
