Did you think that Target had learned their lesson from the big retail losses they incurred when they pushed their “Pride” line on American shoppers over the summer with their officering of trans-related children’s clothing?
Think again. The Washington Stand website [1] reports that Christmas is on their minds now.
They’ve even hired a Senior LGBTQIA+ Segmentation Strategist and Pride Leader. What the heck is that? According to the Washington Stand, part of Target’s LGBTQIA+ Christmas line includes things like a gay nutcracker [2] holding a Progress Pride Flag and wearing a Pride hat. It’s advertised with the slogan, “Show your love and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.”
Go woke, go broke doesn’t seem to concern Target. But then again, neither does letting men in women’s bathrooms. I haven’t set one foot in that store since they decided on that policy.
Target has quite a lot of LGBTQIA+ merchandise on their website in addition to their new Christmas offerings.
If you do a search, you’ll actually come up with 1,857 results. There is everything from a “Pride Proud” tank top dog outfits and dog toys to LGBTQIA+ books and games.
