On the day we celebrate our Independence from the British Empire and the many freedoms brought to us from that victory, we are at war with people inside of our own country. The Democrats, if given a choice, would remove the Constitution from our lives and the Bill of Rights. They don’t want us to have the the right to bear arms or freedom of religion or press. Or anything else. This is apparent in everything that they say and do.
Every day, the Dems come up with new ways to control us whether it’s banning our cars, gas stoves or the way we make pizza. Every product in our homes is regulated by some governmental department. Everything is taxed.
Take a look at the federal register once in a while. It’s a daily journal of the United States government with all of the regulations they have imposed on us. As of the writing of this article, there are 921,147 documents on the website and the number increases all of the time. Each document can contain hundreds (if not thousands) of pages. Are YOU in compliance with governmental law? Who the heck knows. There’s no way to know.
Instead of fighting the our enemies for a while and gaining our independence in a definitive victory, our current war is an ongoing EVERY DAY war against a devious, greedy and corrupt domestic enemy called the Democrat Party. You can also throw some RINOS into the mix as well (names like Romney, Collins, Bush and others come to mind). And to fight that war, they are sneaking a colossal “army” into our country to help them – from Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, China, Russia… from anywhere they can.
Instead of Democrats having patriotism and pride in America, they try to destroy this great country. And they complain about its greatness. They try to destroy everything that’s good and anything that could actually lead to people being free from tyranny and having a better life.
This is why Trump is so popular. Despite his personal flaws, he resonates with people. He wants EVERYONE to have a better life. “America First” resonates with people.
Democrats say we are not great – that we take too much from the poor and underserved and the disadvantaged. That is not true. Americans are the most generous people on the face of the planet.
Democrats complain about successful and wealthy people because they somehow diminish or hold down others who haven’t been able to make it to the top. They want an even playing field. Equity. They don’t want to make sure everyone rises. They want to bring everyone down.
We have too much, they say. Or at least certain people do.
The Atlantic [1]has a story by Michigan-based writer Adam Fleming Petty. The article is about how America sucks because we have too much choice at the grocery store. He thinks that everything should just be happy with limited choices. Doesn’t matter if you don’t like certain flavors or are allergic to stuff. Or just prefer a red box to a blue box. Nope. Petty says that you are spoiled and that there are too many canned green beans and potato chip varieties out there.
Poor Petty had went to the grocery store and he was faced with too too many choices of orange juice. He had a panic attack because he didn’t know whether to choose: Minute Maid, Simply, Tropicana, Dole, Florida’s Natural, or Sunny D. Note to Petty: Sunny D is not [2] orange juice. It’s not even juice.
So Petty was overwhelmed with the amount of brands that he had to choose from and then, God forbid (yes, God), there were ALSO all kinds of choices having to do with pulp and sugar and other things. He was so stressed out that he left the store without any orange juice. Seriously, this sounds more like a mental issue than anything else but I digress…
This Petty dude is another leftist control freak, whiting about too many choices of ice cream and hot dog buns. He’s another Bernie Sanders [3], who in 2015 whined that we have too many choices of deodorant and sneakers. It’s just too much stress and we need to be worrying about climate change.
This ridiculous attitude of Democrats is two-fold: Democrats don’t like the free enterprise system and they don’t want you to have a choice in things (unless it’s abortion, of course).
Petty cites an American Time Use Survey [4] that says the average grocery trip takes more than 40 minutes. So what? I usually have a list of about 30 or 40 things I have to find and purchase. And that’s just for a two-family household. I’m sure people with kids have a much longer list. Plus waiting in line can take up 20 minutes (or more) of that time. How is that any of Petty’s business? Or anyone else’s business?
I contend that stores actually don’t have ENOUGH choice. Plenty of times – plenty – especially since the pandemic, I have the left the grocery stores unsatisfied, missing about three or four things that I wasn’t able to find. They are not there for whatever reason whether it’s supply chain issues or products sitting in the back room because of staff shortages.
One of my biggest pet peeves in the world is people who think they can tell me what to do or how to spend my time and money.
And that, in a nutshell, is why I am NOT a Democrat.
Happy 4th, everyone. Enjoy your freedom. Enjoy your fireworks. Enjoy your grocery shopping. Do what makes you happy. That’s what America is supposed to be about.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Celebrate it.
