In addition to the abortion issue which has been winning them a lot of elections, climate change and DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) are the two top issues that Democrats care about – and they have been doing their best to infiltrate these two things into every department of the government, including the military.
The Navy is supposed to be charged with the defense of the country at sea, the seaborne support of other U.S. military services and the maintenance of security on the seas wherever the interests of the United States extends.
But not when a Democrat is in the White House. [1] Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro was at a House Armed Services Committee hearing recently and Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind) brought up Toro’s prior comments on the importance of climate change and asked how it stacks up against other concerns, especially at a time when they are struggling to meet recruiting goals.
Del Toro answered, “As I said then, it (climate change) is a top priority…”
When asked if it was as important as having combat readiness through recruitment, Del Toro said, “They’re all equally important.”
NO, THEY’RE NOT.
The fact that this guy thinks that they are is ridiculous. The fact that he puts climate change anywhere in the top 100 of things the Navy should be concerned about is ludicrous.
Later, when pressed again, Del Toro said, “I never said climate change was the number one priority, I said climate change was a top priority.”
Nice save. But we know what’s important to the Biden administration and it’s not the American people – or our safety.
