Joe Biden spewed out bizarre venom like a senile illiterate, as he commented on the DeSantis presidential campaign announcement Wednesday night.
“Rob, My Red Button is bigger, better, stronger, and is working (TRUTH!), yours does not! (per my conversation with Kim Jung Un, of North Korea, soon to become my friend!).”
Except, it wasn’t Joe Biden. It was Donald Trump, exactly as he wrote it on his own media platform. Enough said on this subject.
In other DeSantis news, he announced on Twitter and FNC Wednesday night. The response was so tremendous it almost crashed Twitter and he raised $1 million in one hour.
DeSantis, “Our border is a disaster. Crime infests our cities. The federal government makes it harder for families to make ends meet. And the president flounders…”decline is a choice. Success is attainable. And freedom is worth fighting for. Righting the ship requires restoring sanity to our society, normalcy to our communities, and integrity to our institutions. Truth must be our foundation — and common sense can no longer be an uncommon virtue. In Florida, we proved it can be done.
“We chose facts over fear, education over indoctrination, law and order over rioting and disorder. We held the line when freedom hung in the balance. We showed that we can — and must — revitalize America. We need the courage to lead and the strength to win.”
Conservative FNC pundit Guy Benson opined on DeSantis and Trump supporters, “Some of those supporters are, let’s say, soft supporters. DeSantis doesn’t want to actively alienate them, but he does want to raise certain differences, points of difference, where he would make the case that ‘I’m the better bet for the Republican Party and the future of the movement in general and the opportunity to serve.’ ”
As for the immediate future? Rove, “We’re likely to see the polls sort of close a little bit over the next couple of months. There could be big changes, comparatively big changes, by the time following the debates. But remember, at this point in 2008, Rudy Giuliani was way ahead and so was Hillary Clinton at this point in 2008. In 2012, 30 days before the Iowa caucuses, Newt Gingrich was ahead. You know, we’ve seen the front-runner and admittedly, President Trump is not the normal front-runner, but we’ve seen the front-runners fade when people get to know more about the other candidates in the race and find somebody else more attractive.”
So he’s finally in. It’s him, Trump, and Tim Scott legitimately vying for the brass ring. There’s already no love lost between Trump and DeSantis and Trump will make it as schoolyard brutal as he can. Can DeSantis stand up to him and lure Trump into a trap of his own making? The coming months will answer that question. My bet is yes.
