The Democrats are always claiming to be the most understanding, caring and tolerant people on the planet. But quite often, nothing could be further from the truth.
If you don’t agree with (or vote) for them, they ridicule you and call you names. They censor you. They cancel you. They prosecute you. They incarcerate you. It’s their way or the highway and they have only gotten worse as time goes on.
Their current target is 60 Minutes who has shockingly decided to air interviews with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for their TV show. According to the leftists, it’s just abhorrent. It must be stopped, so many are boycotting one of their favorite liberal TV shows in order to send them a message.
“#Boycott60Minutes” was trending over the weekend and Democrats were all over Twitter, in support the boycott.
Actor Bradley Whitford compared Greene to Hitler. He tweeted, “Reminds me of a guy we defeated in the 1940s who wasn’t afraid to share his opinions, no matter how intense and in-your-face they were. Too bad you couldn’t interview him, Lesley Stahl, you could have asked him about his vegetarianism and his love of dogs…” Whitford also accused Stahl of legitimizing a “ghoul.”
Adam Kinzinger tweeted, “Wow. Insane that 60 min would do this.”
Some were opposed to CBS’ actual civil treatment of Greene even though that’s what a “news” media company is supposed to do – be objective and civil.
But I’m wondering… did all of these great Democrats who care about democracy and the fate of the United States and decency get in an uproar over 60 Minutes interviewing dog-killer Michael Vick? Or human killer Dr. Kevorkian? How about Timothy McVeigh, Roman Polanski or Ayatollah Khomeini? Nope. I don’t remember that happening.
Democrats are intolerant – of Republicans and everything they stand for. But they will put up with just about everything else.
