Our nation is at a crossroads where rogue political hacks have replaced a nation of laws with a nation of partisan, political attacks on their biggest opponents while the media joins in cheerfully despite knowing it’s all a travesty.
It is so serious that the entire Republic stands in the crosshairs of execution at the hands of socialists, globalists, and anti-American forces. I don’t tell you this lightly. For the entire existence of America, we have avoided using the apparatus of government to destroy rival politicians, but a local district attorney has turned nearly 250 years of history on its head.
I have been away, as you know, and was disconnected from the news cycle for a while—and it felt good. But my disappointment in what I learned upon the cell phone hitting good reception in the New Mexico mountains was disheartening.
Alvin Bragg, a far-left, soft-on-crime DA, funded by the America-hating billionaire George Soros, is proceeding with his indictment of Donald Trump, and ignoring the fact that this case was examined by his predecessor, the Federal Election Commission, and the Department of Justice, with everyone agreeing there was not a case to be made over Donald Trump paying a woman to keep quiet about a possible one-night stand.
So, as I rolled through the mountains near the Pecos River outside of Santa Fe, some quotes came to mind.
For example:
“Anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices.”
“If you want to know who controls you, look at whom you are not allowed to criticize.”
“So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men.” ~ Voltaire
We are told to expect a gag order—making it a criminal act for Donald Trump to complain about the outrageous nature of the partisan charges—so here’s one more quote.
“The right to free speech is more important than the content of the speech.” ~ Voltaire
But there are other great voices who came to mind—like the legendary American Thomas Paine.
“To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.”
“A body of men holding themselves accountable to nobody ought not to be trusted by anybody.”
“The greatest tyrannies are always perpetuated in the name of the noblest causes.” ~ Thomas Paine
Let those marinate for a few minutes—and realize that Alvin Bragg, who by routinely dropping felony charges to misdemeanors, has consistently allowed violent felons back on the streets of New York to kill and maim again, has decided to, in Donald Trump’s case, ignore the statute of limitations and contort a misdemeanor of changing business filings into a felony. That basically assumes anything that Donald Trump has ever done must be a crime.
